Sky offer to me (existing Customer)

I rang up last year to say that I wanted to leave Sky. Was immediately offered half price for 6 months, without any hassle at all. I guess they wanted to keep me as I subscribe to HD, Sports, Movies, ESPN etc. Was pleased, and will do the same thing when the 6 months is done (as the Sky man on the phone advised me to do!)Getting married to a wonderful lady on August 10, 2012.
Need to save up, lose weight, reduce my money worries and get back to being the real me! :j0 -
i need to ring up for my mum, when my brother worked for sky he managed to get mum a really good family deal but now he has left the deal went with it
she has :
sky hd
movies
full variety pack
2 x multi room
phone
braodband
she was paying £48 per month as part of the deal but now its up to £88 per month.
im thinking of getting rid of movies and 1 multi room and seeing what else they can offer her0 -

But no new box
i think for most people its either the discount on TV package or new box0 -

He quoted the Virgin offer but almost instantly the lady asked him if he had got a quote from Virgin and he quickly had to reply not yet as we can't get it here and she knew it! He said he was just googling other options to try to save money as the work situtation was a bit precarious. After 10 mins of chatting about the state of the country and the public sector in particular, she finally got round to offering him the 6 months half price tv but it was a bit of a tortuous process compared to the experiences of some other posters, but we'll have saved £150, so well worth a few moments of discomfort I think.

its a bit hit and miss. i cant get virgin in my area but still quoted offer and guy gave me a new free box. it depends on who you get to talk to.0 -

I've been reading this thread daily and thought knowing my luck I would get someone who would say "computer says no" type of thing, plucked up courage and got half price for 6 months and a free sky+ box and free installation ( its a hd box but not with the hd enabled) so quite happy with that..
So big thanks to this forum.
(I also while I was in the mood, I have just come to the end of my phone contract and now have a new phone on the way and line rental is £10 a month cheaper)
So not bad going... just thinking what else can I try??0 -
Sorry to sound thick, my wife has just given birth and my head is not with it so if i take the offer it will be a hd box without the hd enabled? sorry to sound thick many thanks0
