Sky offer to me (existing Customer)

Hi just rang sky, currently we pay over £100 for BB, TV and phone with separate providers. They offered us a free hd box (no obligation to take the Hd package), phone and broadband for £71. (We currently pay about £55 for sky alone at the moment). We asked if there were any offers on the Tv package but we were told that at that moment we could only be offered one deal?
Should we go for this or do you reckon if we call later we could get a reduction in tv package also?
*and the broadband speed for sky in our area is 3.5mb0 -
I dont have the sports or movies, just the music and i think lifestyle mix.
got 50% off the tv package and 50% off hd subscription. so it works out around a fiver a month cheaper but with hd pack included which i do not want and will be trying to cancel as soon as i can!Mortgage at August 2017 - £169,800
Current MF date - June 2029 :eek:0 -
Woo hop just got 6 months half price aswell! Fantastic just the saving we needed.
We called last month to ask for another box for our sons room (we have 2 already) but they wanted to charge 199 for box and 100 installation, she offered everything for 29, to call back to confirm. Good day for us:):money: giving me & my darling boys a better cheaper life:A

depends who is ur current broadband provider. sky's broardband is not great in all areas. exactly what offer are you getting with broadband and phone. might be better off taking 50% of tv package and then calling back later to switch to braodband/phone.0 -
sky must be desperate to keep customers. i always throught january / february are their worst months (people trying to cancel due to holidays over / money spent over christmas etc plus no big sporting events (all major fianls other competitions later in summer)...long may this last..0

Mickyduck, thank you so much for this thread.
I've been genuinely thinking about cancelling for a while, due to the cost and a dodgy sky+ box.
I was offered my sky package for half price for 6 months straight away. I was umming and ahhing about it and the guy asked how I was getting on with the box I had ( no prompting from me). I explained it was a bit hit and miss occasionally, and he then offered me a free HD box, and free installation. I didn't want to take the HD subscription, but he said that was fine!
All being reinstalled next wednesday.
Thanks again MD xComping wins

I have had 2 of the half price for 6 months deals and a few weeks back managed to get half price for 12 months. I cancelled and got a call a few days later from the Sky experience team who offered me the deal.
If they don't offer you nothing then proceed with the cancellation, since you have to give one months notice you can change your mind if you don't get a call offering a deal, but you more than likely will.0 -
Called yesterday, I have Sky HD and the sports channels, no phone or BB. Told them I was going to buy Freesat HD box to save some cash.
Offered me 25% off for a year. Happily accepted as I had no intention of actually cancelling.Sigless0
