Sky offer to me (existing Customer)

You'll get that easy. Sky are easy to haggle with, their perfect one for them is the one who phones up and says, i want to cancel, sky says, 6 months half price? customer says yes. People aren't pushing them. As I've said before, hang up and try someone else. As an example, I wanted to get my boadband cheaper. The guy wouldn't budge, I hung up and literally phoned them straight back, got through to someone else and happy days.
As I've said, they only get a certain amount of good offers per week. That's a fact from Martin himself. So many are phoning you're all getting 6 months half price.
I'm getting so ratty because I know people can get better if they're patient and also are more cheeky and haggle more. I personally think 6 months 1/2 price is poor.
I'm quite happy with half price. Have been paying over 70 a month so half price is a big saving for me!If my words are missing letters then please excuse me....my keyboard is a tad dodgy!!0 -

Yep i think you are right their! it is who get to speak too, some are more amenable than others, i wonder how many advisors they have in total their, i bet 50 or 60 maybe.0 -

Wouldn't you feel a bit of an idiot though if you got back through to the same person.0 -
They do usually record on their system if you have spoke to them, so be aware of that. Guy i spoek to yesterday was determine dto spend the first 10 mins of the call reading thru my notes.
unfortunatley I picked one who was clued up, and he wasnt buddging on getting me any offers on my broadband, despite the fact I only get 1.75mb, and pay for up to 20mb.
Is it possible to get a free new Sky box, but not be tied into a contract ? (as being in contract seems to give less chance of offers).0 -

Yes they tried to talk me into the phone and broadband package also but again offered me no incentive to take it.
I have heard that Sky B/B ave is around 4mb i dont know how true that is, i am with Virgins 10mb and it is at that speed all the time, has even been up to 11mb on occasions. One woman i spoke to even admitted B/B was their weak link, and Virgin was so much faster, and said they were mayb looking to go to fibre optic in the future.
I tried about the box for no contract but they said no, i think mine is a 12 mth contract tho, and if it was to expensive at anytime i could at least decrease my package to its minimum amount.0 -
Rather than just hanging up just start saying something like, hello? hello? and pretend the line is bad or has gone dead and say oh i'll phone them back as though your speaking to someone in the room0

We are waiting until the end of the month to call - once the MSE rush calms down!0

Just called now-you do have to say you are cancelling ! i said BT Vision & Virgin Media were cheaper (had basic figures written down).Nice lady said they didn't want to lose my custom etc...
I have Sky basic package-kids/entertainment & music channels-£21.50/m
Sky broadband also at £15/m.
She offered me Free Sky plus box and Free installation.
She could not (she said & echoing others on here) - offer me reduced price TV WITHOUT me taking on their phone package.
If I take their phone-they will give me halfprice broadband (reducing from £15 down to £7.50/m)-overall price would be £45.25/m inc phone & broadband & TV.
She stated that if I upgrade to Skyplus (no extra)-then as they can only offer 1 offer at a time- I should ring back after 31 days and then they would be able to offer me reduction on TV package.
She's ringing me on Tues-have to think about it -though Skyplus for free would be nice:rotfl:
Should I trust that I can ring back after 31 days and get an offer? She said calls were recorded and she had given me correct info....:hello: SHARING THE LOVE (OF A BARGAIN) x0
