If I accept the Sky Plus box they have offered me they will tie me in to an 18 month contract, but maybe you can haggle a good deal for yourself?

Hello all,

i 1st saw this thread today and i told my OH about it as she has the sky bill in her name. We were paying £70 a month, for broadband, phone line and sky +. She rang up and ended up getting it for £40 a month, so nearly half price i couldnt believe it. Apprenlty it would cost us £10 extra a month for HD and £15 for the HD box. I have said to leave it just now, but apprently there going to ring her back tomorrow and see if they can offer anything better. But thank you for the help of this board were saving ourselves some good money, so thank you

This is exactly what I was offered, as I've also had problems with my Sky+ box. Free Sky+HD box, free install and £5 for first 6 months. Does this tie you in to a 12 month contract? I may also opt for this and wait a few weeks before haggling on discounting the TV package, as I was told they can't combine hardware + TV package offers. Has anyone successfully got a Multiroom discount when being offered a free HD box?

Wow thanks so much for this .. I called I got 1/2 tv for months a free HD + box and installation free evening and weekend calls and unlimited internet saving me £40 a month plus the cost of the new box and installation ... oh and today I won 2 first class rail tickets and some hotel vouchers! oh happy days

Had finished my contract last December. Just called after this thread started jogging my brains. Got Sky with 2 packages cut down from 20 quid to 10.25 for 6 months!

i just called sky and the best they could offer was no line rental on the phone package we have with them

saved 11 quid a month - better than a poke in the eye

just rang and there's no offers for me, basic sky box with sports, contract has long since expired. even told them I wanted to cancel and got through to cancellations dept

Less than 10 minutes on the phone resulting in 50% off package for 6 months. Also told to call back after that to see what offers are available then so the dont lose my custom. Nice lady

Have the line rental, unlimited BB and £23 package, £41ish per month. Spoke to cancellations and was offered the TV package at 50% for 6 months so down to about £30 a month. Not as much as I was hoping for but still saves me almost £70 in total, cheers OP, I've been being to ring for a while.
