Phoned up on the 31 Aug as I was going to cancel as £26 a month was a bit much at the moment but the lovely guy at sky said he could reduced the price and with the switch overage of channels we would get 2 extra channel groups. So now have sky entertainment and sky entertainment extra for £16 a month for next 12 months :j very happy with that as it means my wee one still gets to watch Disney junior and I can still see Numb3rs0

They offered me that this morning however I couldn't decline cause previous month i took out multiroom meaning i have to have sky for another 12 months =\
However she's calling me back on the 14th to apply it and discuss any changes. since i have 12 months half price and free sky HD for a year, which is just about to run out0 -
I'm an existing customer and have one of those old standard boxes. I rang Sky and said I wanted to cancel because I wanted a HD box so the guy said he might be able to do me a deal. He said he'd be able to give me a box + installation for £49 but I said that that was too much so he said he could do the same for £29. I said that that was too much. He said it was the best he could do so I cancelled. I rang up half an hour later (both times on an 0800 number found using say no to 0870) saying that I can do £19 but the lady on the phone said that she could do it free for me as I am eligable for it. They come on Sunday to do the install. :beer:0

If people (like me) live in a Virgin Media area why dont they do what I do and one year with Sky at half price then Virgin Media at half price and so on and so on....0

I'm skyed to the max with the full hd tv package, broadband and phone and have been for years! I'm no longer under contract and My bills are £80-£90 a month which I think is totally unacceptable! I'm going to phone tonight to see what I can get out of them. Virgin are not in my area so was wondering what the best plan of attack should be??
Ps, what number do you ring?? I can't find one anywhere??0 -
I've no idea what kind of deal I got as I'm technically a new customer. Long story short, my ex-husband transferred the Sky package to his new place after telling me he'd be cancelling so I had no choice but to set up a new account immediately when I found out as I don't have a phone or broadband now.
I think I paid £10 to get the install done (engineer due out any minute) and £52/month for Entertainment Extra, HD, Sky Talk Unlimited and the basic Sky broadband package. Having used a 3G dongle for a few days however I'm concerned that the basic broadband package isn't going to be enough.
So, did I get ripped off?0 -
Telephone Sky Sunday as only 1 month left on my 6 months half price deal.
They said no offers available until my present deal ends, so I cancelled.
Informed the Family so we'll see what happens, at present I'm looking at £50 extra in my pocket from October0 -
for what its worth i will throw my tuppence worth in , birchy50 the telephone number is 08442 41 41 41 its imperative you use the word cancel explaining its far too expensive and that you are a loyal customer with all the sky trimmings and a deal should be on its way to me its an open and shut case , caz 2703 yes i think you did get a raw deal , id phone again explain that you are a new customer and ask for a deal. as for your b/band the basic package is ok but really depends how much you use it [im sure that if you go over your limit then you get charged the unlimited fee £7.50] .personally id use this as a barttering option . pay extra b/band fee for cheaper tv deal. hope this amueter s advice helps0
