    just to let others know,
I had cancelled sky and was not offered any deal.
They went ahead and process the last payment to be took off my bank.
Sky phoned me up today, day before cut off, and offered 12 months half price, no contract, just have to give 30days notice if I don’t want sky any more.

Our SKY goes off next week so hope we get the same call, I would be very happy if we do. Fingers crossed.

Hubby just phoned sky as our 6 months Hd half price is ending and he was told that no furthers offers are available. Hubby then asked how much extra sky sports would be . Operator went away and said we can have it for £0.10 per month.

Must try that one on my other half when our half price Sky runs out and she says the sports channels are too expensive! :D

How long did they wait to call you and make the offer?

I posted on here last week about how I upgraded to sky sports for an extra £9 a month.
I rang back today as I seen an advert saying if you upgrade to sky sports you get ESPN free for 3mths. They gave me that straight away and he went to check if he could give me any offers - got offered half price line rental with them so I switched from BT :) happy days :)

I currently have just a basic package with them paying around 21 quid a month. They posted me an offer of half price sky sports and movies for 3 months before the summer and i took them up on the offer but then removed it, and also the HD pack at the same time.

Want to get sky sports back, any ideas for how i best go at this for a good price?

ring them explaining you think the price is to high for sky sports and that you cant afford it but can they offer you a deal on it.

Found this Enetrtainment Extra thread a bit late in the day I think, however... I currently have Variety and Kids, plus movies on the 2 months free in the Summer deal (started end of July).

Should I cancel variety now, so I transfer over to Ent Extra on 1st September for no increase, or will this happen anyway??

Also, as currently on the 2 months free sky movies deal; will cancelling this invalidate the price freeze, and cause an increase when movies stop?

    cheers
  • I have got fed up with the amopunt we pay for Sky and add to that our HD box is just rubbish and constantly locks up , goes ona massive go slow etc. I know a Sky engeinner who even said my box was crap.

I am tempted by trying to cancel the whole damn thing and say it's just too expensive, my main reason for having it are free channels or Sports and the box is knackered and to be honest I can't be bothered paying out £65 a month for that!! On the other hand this would almost be a lie as I cannot miss sports. Any ideas on if i tr to cancel how long I'm likely to have to wait to possibly get themn to offer me a deal.
