Will be very surprised if you haven't had a mailshot through for 1/2 price within 2 or 3 months of leaving.A big believer in karma, you get what you give :A
If you find my posts useful, "pay it forward" and help someone else out, that's how places like MSE can be so successful.0 -

So, Phils, who will crack first? my money is on Sky. Keep us posted mate.0 -
I have SKY TV, Phone & Broadband. TV & Phone are now on rolling contracts which will be why they offered me discount on that side, my BB is still in contract until March.
They offered me 25% of my TV Package, 50% of my Phone Line and Sky movies free for 6 months with no contract.0 -
I have been on half price for 2 years.
They have just offered me another 6 months.
I am going to go to Virgin Media though
Broadband (L)
Phone (M)
TV (XL with TiVo box
HD
Sky Sports
Free extra V HD Box for another room
for £58 for 6 months. Then £77 after for a year.

From Sept 1st 2011 Sky are splitting the 6 main packs into 2. Entertainment & Style and Culture has the variety pack (Sky 1, Gold etc) merged with Style & culture (home and cooking) and Entertainment Plus has the above plus the other 4, news, knowledge, kids and music. To get al 6 packs I phoned and made sure I cancelled variety and could have kept either one of the music or knowledge, but chose music. As long as you keep a channel that is part of the Ents Plus and cancel before Sept 1st, you get the 6 for £19.50. Movies and Sports packages are changing too. Info on link above. HTH.
I'm going to call tomorrow and cancel a couple of channels, not all the way down to 19.50 though. Do you have to cancel variety too, or is that just if you are trying to get down to the 19.50? Meaning I don't mind if I just take my bill down to 21.50 for now and it stays that way, but will it work if I keep variety on there? I was going to keep knowledge and kill music and style (don't have children's).0 -

No, as that means paying for both new packs if I have understood correctly. You would want only knowledge as that is in Entertainment Plus, then you would get all the others in variety anyway.

Can someone help me clarify?
I've got all 6 basic packages so which do I need to cancel to save money and get all of them included when they go down to 2 basic packages?
I'm going to be phoning them soon to see if we can get a cheap deal on sports as we've been with them over 3 years and I've been without it long enough!0 -

You have to give 30 days notice if you downgrade so you have missed out, because there are only 15 days until the packs change.0 -
Doh! Oh well, hopefully get the sports package for cheap0
