Sky offer to me (existing Customer)

there playing hard to get today.
recieved a deal in febuary offering free hd box and installation with no hd channels.
just rang today there stating i cant have a new deal as im tied down to a 12 month contract with the hd box.
so there was no deals for me.
Has anyone else had this trouble or was she just trying to fob me off.
any hope would be appreciated.
I'm on a year contract too (started last year to get a free sky+ box to replace our regular sky box), and my understanding from reading these threads is you can't expect to get another deal on your overall package price when under contract. You have no leverage -- you can't say you want to cancel because you are under contract, so they don't have to offer you something to convince you to stay. You might be able to whip up a deal on something if you don't currently have it or if it's part of the package that you could cancel, such as movies or Sky talk. I'm calling about package price as soon as I'm a free agent again in a couple of months, lol.0 -

Further to my email to Jeremy Darroch this morning, got a phone call from the exec team just now, everything sorted quickly - If only the standard customer service was so good!0

If you are a new customer it us worth going through topcashback or quidco, as usually at least £100 back (unless you can get a friends and family half price deal, which sometimes come up online).

Well i am soooo surprised, having never been offered any retention deals before, i have just phoned up and said i needed to cancel as i couldn't afford it anymore and was offered 6 months at half price immediately. So that takes £20 a month off my bill!!! Totally delighted, was also told that if i was still struggling financially when this deal runs out on the 9th of feb to phone back on the 10th and they will see whay they can offer me then.0

If you find my posts useful, "pay it forward" and help someone else out, that's how places like MSE can be so successful.0 -
