I can't remember the last time I paid 'proper' price for Sky. So my answer is YES, call them!Make it entirely clear you LOVE Sky but just genuinely can't afford it in the current economic climate so with heavy heart wish to cancel the whole subscription, lol.

Another 6 months half price, bingo! Went through to the "thinking about leaving us" department & offered it me straight away.0

Wonder if they will do a deal on Sky Sports, partner is proper annoyed at F1 going to Sky and it will cost us an extra £12 or so a month to watch the F1, and thats all we would use it for
Personally i would say forget it, but hes adamant he will carry on watching F1 and since hes the breadwinner i can hardly argue with him even tho its more expense we could od without :-(

I tried getting upgraded to movies ( and get 3d channel) and then asking to see if they would offer the half price (already was offered it with sports etc) and was told no cannot upgrade after you had an offer for 6 months.0

I have 3 packs, variety, music and knowledge and recently downgraded to just the music pack before the packages split into 2 next month. With the 30 day notice I am not losing any channels and will be paying £19.50 for 6 packs instead of £24.50 (or £211.50 with price freeze) until 31st August 2012.0

they basically wouldnt give you half price on the movies and sports at the same time??I have 3 packs, variety, music and knowledge and recently downgraded to just the music pack before the packages split into 2 next month. Thats pretty much the package im on everything but no movies or sports and paying £24.50 a month, want to either add movies for free for a couple of months or a decent (ish) price
What do you mean the packages are going to split into 2?0 -

What do you mean the packages are going to split into 2?
http://www.sky.com/mysky/enjoymore/entertainment/
From Sept 1st 2011 Sky are splitting the 6 main packs into 2. Entertainment & Style and Culture has the variety pack (Sky 1, Gold etc) merged with Style & culture (home and cooking) and Entertainment Plus has the above plus the other 4, news, knowledge, kids and music. To get al 6 packs I phoned and made sure I cancelled variety and could have kept either one of the music or knowledge, but chose music. As long as you keep a channel that is part of the Ents Plus and cancel before Sept 1st, you get the 6 for £19.50. Movies and Sports packages are changing too. Info on link above. HTH.0
