I tried twice yesterday with no luck (Didnt go ahead and actually cancel each time) Called today and after speaking with his manager the chap offered me another 6 months half price. So that will make 24 months half price in a row.

I would not pay full price when i can get sky sports from on my parents account through my xbox or ipad

My 6-month half price TV deal ran out a few days ago so I just rang up to see if I could get another one. Unfortunately at the same time as I got the deal I took the HD pack on a 12-month contract and because of that they can't offer me any more deals, so I have to wait for that to finish before I can try again (and he did say as I had a lot with them and had been with them for a while I'd almost certainly be offered a very good deal). So basically they know I won't/can't cancel until the HD contract is over so they won't offer a deal. I'm not complaining though, why should they give me a deal? But just letting people know if they're in the same boat.

How much should I be paying for Sky, long time customer:

Sky HD Box in living room.
    Sky plus Box upstairs.
We have Sky movies and Skysports.

    And also Sky Broadband Unlimited.

Currently paying £88 per month. (£73 for TV and £15 for BB). Is this too high?

I came off my 6 months 1/2 price tv package last month and decided to ring up last week to see if I could get another reduction. I tried twice last week but was only offered £10 off a month which I wasn't happy with so I declined - they told me that it was the only offer that was available on my account. I rang back on Tuesday and was told by that because the account wasn't in my name that I wasn't in a position to discuss anything and that my OH would have to ring up, I explained that I'd never had this problem before and that it was always me that rang up. She wouldn't budge so I hung up and rang back 10 mins later.
This time I spoke to a lovely man, I told him that I had looked into getting virgin and that online they were offering half price tv for 6 months, plus that their multiroom and hd packages were cheaper. He offered me half price tv for the 6 months straight away. I again complained about the multiroom and HD channel charges and he told me that ifI rang back another day I would be offered half price multiroom but that they are only allowed to add one offer to an account at a time, so I'm going to try tomorrow. I'll let you know how I get on.

Hi by my reckoning you should be paying £52 for your tv package - you're on sky world - the same as me which includes the sports and the movie channels, £10.25 for your multiroom, and £12.50 for your broadband - again I'm on the same one but I get a £5 discount because I have their line rental too. So in all it comes to £74.75 if my maths is correct. Have you looked at your account online for a breakdown of your bill?

I have been on half price for 2 years now which runs out this month. Just called and got another 6 months!

I did lay it on thick though...

I took out the free HD channels for 6 months offer probably about the same time as you which tied me into a 12 month contract for them - they still gave me the half price tv offer - so it might be worth trying again.

    Sky World - £52
    Extra Subscription - £10.25
    Sky HD+ Pack - £10.25

    BB - £15

    Credit Card chg - £0.50

Have no idea what the Sky HD+ Pack is.

Have you had any luck reducing your bill?

Do you get the extra HD channels? That would account for the extra £10.25.
I haven't rang them back yet - so far I've got the half price deal on my tv package, 3 months free ESPN which I went through topcashback to sign up for which gave me £5.05 and I'm going to try my chances tomorrow for a discount on my multiroom. I'm also going to ask about the new 1 TB boxes - I want one but I'm not prepared to buy one for £149 - they're offering them to people who take up a new HD or multiroom subscription for £49, I've got both already so I'm going to ask if I can have the same offer.
