I've just cancelled Sky this morning. The only mention of an offer was 6 months half price but the last 6 months half price offer ended up being only 4 months. Do you have to send the box back like with Virgin? Do they collect it?0

I had the £23.50 TV only Package (5 Packs) with Sky. Called up Cancellations today and said I can't afford my current package and that Virgin (my current BB/Phone provider) are offering me TV for less than £15. She offered me half price TV for 6 months @11.75 p/m which I accepted. Then, I went to Quidco and used the cashback offer of £50 for existing customers upgrading to Sky+ HD, to upgrade to the free Sky+HD box and free self install and £10 HD sub for 12 months. This gives me a total saving of about £120 (£50 from quidco + £70 from sky) which covers my HD subscription costs for a year plus I get the Sky+ HD box worth £199 for free. All in all, a good deal I think0

I cancelled my half price on the 11th July as it ran out and they offered me half price again but i said no way. I called a couple of times on freephone number but no joy.
They phoned me tonight and offered £50 credit to account and another half price 6 months. Happy with that
Whats the free phone number please??
Also people, currently we're on the enterntainment pack (basically all the channels apart from any movies or sports) - paying £24.50 a month for this
BB with Virgin and phone with BT
Some time ago i got a letter which said free sky sports for 2 months so took that up, now im wanting some movies if poss anyone know if i can get them free for a couple of months or even for a good price?
Been with sky for about 8 years or so0 -
I've been thinking about this thread, as we have a rickety old sky digibox and I'd really like to change it for a Sky+box. I'm not interested in the current free HD box offer because our tv isn't HD ready and we're not going to be in a position to upgrade it for years. Is it worth speaking to them to see if I can change up for a regular sky+ box, our would I be better off picking up a second hand box on ebay? Do you have to have a special subscription to use sky+, or do you just need the box?0

I have sky multiroom, all channels bar the sport, sky telephone and internet and usually pay around £75.00 per month. We decided that the internet connection was slow and we both have mobiles and will get a dongle and Freesat box. Husband phoned up to cancel the whole package and they reduced it to £42.50 for 6 months.
