Is it really bad that we don't have a photographer booked yet and that I can't be bothered???
We do want to have some nice pictures with all the family and friends but to be honest I haven't seen what I like yet and I always like to go with my gut instinctAt this rate though we might not have one!!!
And my ring still isn't ready.......boo!
Good luck with all those doing their invites. Yes you've guessed it.....I still need to finish those too!!

I think I'm kidding myself if I think I can do that last minute especially for a summer wedding
However I am sick and tired of people trying to force us to book someone because "that'll be it done and you don't have to worry about it"! Well it's OUR wedding and I do worry about it because I want nice pictures I can show the family and future kids/grandkids! (Maybe I should be on the bridezilla thread lol :rotfl:)
There is a wedding show in February near me so maybe we can get someone then. I think I'm just fed up of the hard sell and inflated prices that we can't afford!
So glad you managed to find someone good last minute......there may be hope for us yet!
Congratulations on your wedding :jSPC 9 # 5360 -
Thanks Anibell - i appreciate it will be more diffucult in June (a very popular month!) but i'm a great believer in fate.
We were in the same boat as you - REALLy wanted some nice official photos (and no matter what anynody says, theere are some shots that only a professional photographer will take, and you won't miss them until you see somebody elses pics and think "i wish we had some like this") but could not afford the terrible prices...
I just kept looking and looking - and this chap fell into place.
After we had booked him and added his facebook page, a work colleague asked if he was our photographer, seems she knew his sister, and had seen his work a few times, so we knew we were getting a good photographer!
The only downside is we have to wait 8 weeks to see our pics and choose for the album.
the online pics were up in a few days, so we have seen them (but with the writing all over them) but it's not the same as SEEINg them lol
Good luck with the task, and i hope that it all works out for you in the end

The photographer was one of the first things I booked after the venue! But then I knew round here that the best ones get booked up fast. It took a lot of searching & lots of meetings, some awkward when you realise that their limited selection on the website is good, but their general work is really not your style...& they seemed quite shocked we were not having a Church wedding...so yeah, that wasn't fun! But we got there in the end & I really like our photographer. I'd say definitely make it a priority to look into at the wedding show, ignore the hard sell (as you are doing!) & make sure you get what you want:idea:Debt at July 2012: £12,862.57

Ooh I nearly forgot - I actually made some progress with our wedding invitations last night!
I am a little stuck on the wording of our RSVP cards though, I want to have just the one per invitation, so there could be as many as 5 people replying for one invitation, but I need a starter, main & dessert choice for all 5!!!
Most invites will be simple with about 2 people per card which is manageable, but how can I word this to look formal & nice without it being confusing, whilst still giving me all the info I need?:idea:Debt at July 2012: £12,862.57

Becca - I know - this year has run away with itself!
On the wedding front we have had a bit of a spurt on lately - now ordered our invitations and will see a proof before Christmas and will then be having the full batch delivered ready to send out at the end of January. We have also both found our rings! They are due to be with us in January too and I honestly don't know how I can stop myself wearing it from Jan - June - I have gone for a platinum, half eternity princess cut diamond band and OH has chosen a 6mm palladium band - it is soooo weord seeing him with a ring on his finger as he never wears any kind of jewellery!
Also, OH suggested we have our names and wedding date engraved inside both bands - I never even THOUGHT of this at all and it really choked me up that he came out with something so detailled and romantic.
Hope everyone else is getting on ok. I'm waiting impatiently for my dress to arrive so that I can go and try it on again - it's any day now i'm told! Want to get it tried on before I attack the Christmas goodies lol.:heart2::heart2: Bride to be - 30 June 2012:heart2::heart2:0 -
