How exciting, we all seem to have/ordered our rings now!

Pern and ie, I'm with you, a friend is getting married weekend before us and we booked ours first. I'm sure we will be very very busy that day anyway!

Congrats on your dress Yargo, what is it?

We are going to make up our invitations at the weekend - day ones are like this:

Have come around to the idea of the evening ones - can't really add anything to them as they wouldn't look right. Will post pics of them all when done.
Have also finally sorted cake!!
Hope everyone is OK - what's next on the to do list?

Glad its not just me that is bothered by having someone elses wedding the weekend before mine, and i was also glad that my other friend said same thing about my friend who's sister it is getting married! i do worry at times like this that im being brideszilla over it! im partly gutted because if invite i would actually like to go to the other girls wedding but as im already going to be booking 3 weeks off work im most likely going to have to work that weekend and think it will be pushing it to ask for it off!!

becca0417 if your asking whats next it must mean that your pretty much done for now! i have the invited, make a decision on the food and find a make-up and hair person to do before christmas.

Hi, sorry to jump on the June thread, I'm actually an April bride, but I love to have a nosey. Just had a look at your invitations and you have just solved the biggest problem that I am having with mine.

My H2B and I have been practising making our invites tonight, and we are having a similar ribbon idea to yours. However, the invites just would not sit flat. Now we know how to do properly after watching the video on your link. So thank you a lot, just made my day :j

This weekend I pledge to work on my invitations, before it becomes a last minute rush!!! :eek:

Also need to look at DJ's some more, & decide if we want to go with the video DJ that seems to be the best so far. Most places I enquired didn't even get back to me so I'm not impressed with DJ hunting so far!

Lollipop - can't find the video!! Had to go on Youtube instead. Just about to start the invites! Hope you are getting on with yours ok Pern! Also DJ hunting was my least favourite part - had lots of expensive quotes and none replies.

Hi all, long, long, long time since I've posted but thought I'd catch up!

You all seem to be ahead of the game, Becca invites look fab!

Well I've made all the invite covers, paid church and venue, got rings, just bought flowers (wooden roses) and just waiting to receive them so I can start on buttonholes and bouquets (with friends help!) got to try out a fruit cake recipe this week and buy material for waistcoats and dresses, print inserts for invites and make the order of services but not really much else I can do at the moment!

6 months to go for 2nd June ladies!
I've now finished invites (day) and they've started to go out ... makes it a lot more real!

I completely failed with my pledge last weekend...must do better!!!

Is anyone else completely freaking out at how quick it seems to be coming round? I feel like I have so much to do still! Need to get myself organised better & just let other things slide, hard to do with xmas coming though.

Yay! :j It'll be even more exciting when the replies start coming. We're sending ours out after Christmas, I just need to stick the inserts in them and attach the magnet to the back so they'll stick on people's fridges

Last weekend we booked the hotel for our minimoon... We're staying fairly local to the wedding venue as we just want to relax, plus the room we've picked is in a Jacobean style

I'm excited today as I've only 6 months to go until the wedding... Eeeek! It's less than a year or 183 days (my Google app has told me this!)

Hmmm, I might go and wrap some presents in a bit, the OH and I had a lovely day shopping yesterday

We've done little save the date notes to go in Christmas Cards, but that's it!!!
