We went Christmas shopping yesterday but ended up buying our wedding rings instead! :j We're very pleased with them as they're great quality for the price and both lovely. Mine is on order as I wanted 9ct white gold not 18ct so have to wait a bit longer to get it
. Talk about a shock though.....I had to sit down afterwards as I couldn't believe we had bought them!!! And it only took 5 minutes!!! :rotfl:

Hi All,
Seems that everyone's plans are progressing at a nice, steady pace. I haven't posted in a while but thought I would update to say that I finally sorted out and paid deposit on my BM's dresses this weekend! Yay! It only took the 3 of them 2 hours to all agree on one! Phew! I'm very happy that they are all happy with them and know my girls will all look fab on the day. Our colour is 'mocha' and i can't wait to see them in this colour when they come in around Feb as the style they all tried on was a deep burgundy so trying to visualise it in my colour is a bit difficult. Next weekend we are ring shopping so hopefully that will be another thing to tick off the list before Xmas!
Hope everyone else is doing ok.
Becca - could you not 'jazz up' the evening invites yourself with a few gems/ribbons from hobby craft or the like - just a thought.:heart2::heart2: Bride to be - 30 June 2012:heart2::heart2:0 -
Hi MissGG nice to see you
glad to hear you got your BM dresses! We ordered ours in June and the shop sample was white! Still haven't seen them in purple but hopefully will over next few weeks.
Feeling a bit more positive about the invites today - I just had totally different expectations and the printer had misunderstood what I asked for. Never mind, as OH says, they're only invites!
Had a letter from church to attend marriage preparation morning at the end of Jan so that will be exciting!First baby due 3/3/14 - Team Yellow! Our little girl born 25/2/140 -

Went to try on the silver cast of my wedding ring yesterday. It was lovely but slightly too thick so they are going to take some more off it then cast it in white gold. Should be able to pick them up in 2 weeks, yay!0

Well we have our rings sorted now too! Out of sheer luck we chose our rings from Goldsmiths, paid £100 deposit and THEN found out about the Tesco x4 vouchers! So we've gone round both families and have collected £172 of tesco vouchers to multiple up! This leaves us with I think £40 to pay! Woo! May even be really MSE and see if we get any more after xmas that can be 3x! (don't worry, we know to get the 4x before the end of the year)
so chuffed
And to top it off my one and only bridesmaid and best friend has moved back to the country and we're going for a dress fitting on Friday!SOOO chuffed!

Hi all, Glad to see so many people getting their rings sorted, i think thats one of the most exciting things to get done. havent done much more since last post, still trying to decide which foods to choose from the suggestions we were given and keep trying to sit down to designs invitations on vista print but lack the motivation, its become like homework which i never was good at concentrating on at school so need some of you teacher out there to give me some motivating words/advice of how to sit down and get on with it! lol
Found out recently that one of my bridesmaids, sister has just booked her wedding for weekend before mine, i know it shouldnt matter but bit gutted as its a bit close to comfort and i stupidly feel like my friend wont be as interested in my wedding now (my bridesmaids arent exactly the most involved kind as it is!)
I was thinking of cashing in my tesco points for the goldsmiths vouchers to use for gifts for wedding party, anyone else thinking of doing this?Married on 16th June 2012. :j0 -
When I remember it's 7 months today, I mainly, at the moment think...

Evening all,
Sorry I've not posted in a while, been busy! But not with wedding things unfortunately.
Glad to see so many of you are getting things sorted, well done
Becca - I agree with MissGG, is there any way you can add to them? Just an embellishment or 2 may make all the differenceAt least the day ones have come out well!
ieimimiai - I know what you mean about the invitations, it's weird it's one of the things I was excited about initially as I thought it was something I could do myself, but it's become such a chore to get it right & as suspected, when I showed my mum the wording she wasn't happy & wants her name on there. Might just have to give in on this one as my OH's parents aren't fussed if their names are on there or not, despite contributing too.
I also know what you mean about someone booking their wedding so close to yours...my old supervisor at work is getting married abroad the week before me, & announced today that she was having the party here on the same day as my wedding! Not impressed as we are obviously going to invite the same work colleagues (we're 2 fairly close knit teams). I understand she probably forgot that's my wedding day, but surely she remembered we're getting married during the same month so it would have been wise to check? Just hope she changes it as she's only just announced it all today, whereas I did back in Feb...& there's no going back for me without losing deposits!:idea:Debt at July 2012: £12,862.57
