We booked our photographer very quickly. Just a thought, have you looked on Gumtree? There are quite a few on there offering it for free.First baby due 3/3/14 - Team Yellow! Our little girl born 25/2/140

Do you lovely ladies remember I said my old supervisor (whom I still work with, just on the other team now) was planning to have her wedding reception (she's having a destination wedding the week before) on the same day as my wedding?
Well she's booked it now & isn't going to change it.
She came over to me today to talk about it, she said she wanted me to send my invitations first as she has a lot of people going already, & was planning on inviting about 25 people from our workplace but wasn't really bothered, so asked if I'd let her know when we send ours out.
I feel quite angry about this, it's like she's using our wedding as an excuse not to have so many work colleagues attend hers!
I've also got the added stress now of who do I invite? As I don't want people to say yes to me, then change their mind when her invitation comes along, or worse decide to attend both & I end up with a handful of people who turn up for some free food & then f*** off to her reception for the rest of the night!!
Of all the stresses of wedding planning, I really didn't think this would be one of them...just making me feel really fed up & I needed to vent, sorry for the rant:idea:Debt at July 2012: £12,862.57

Ah yes, I do remember this story.
What a cheek asking you to send yours out first and telling her when!
Invite who you want to come from work and don't feel obligated to invite others. If she doesn't like it tough, It's your wedding day!
If you do decide to just send them out, prepare yourself for some regret RSVP's.
And feel free to rant away.....I've found this a very good outlet! :rotfl:SPC 9 # 5360 -
Hello,
Also getting married in June, the 30th to be precise. We got engaged in September, so just over 9 month engagement - short enough that we don't go insane with wedding planning for years on end, but long enough that the rumour that I'm pregnant goes around and I have to specify "And no, I'm not pregnant" when people ask when the wedding is! (heh!)0 -
This time last year I was off to pick a very special, sparkly ring! Can't believe it's been a year! Just over 6 months to go, exciting!0

Welcome Anna!
Have you booked much yet? This time last year I was off to pick a very special, sparkly ring! Can't believe it's been a year! Just over 6 months to go, exciting!
Awww Cathy! It's mad how time has flown by, it'll be a year for the OH and I at the end of January... Where has the time gone?!
Are you doing anything special for your engagement anniversary?❤Planned our wedding, still planning lessons❤

What a cow she is Pern! Don't worry tho, just invite the people who you are close to/like at work. People who are friends with you wouldn't dream of going to both weddings as a) they are friends with you and see your day as the one they'd like to attend and b) on a practical note, they probably wouldn't want to fork out for two presents.❤Planned our wedding, still planning lessons❤

Awww how lovely Cathy
My OH made a very tasty curry from scratch when he proposed and bought some Tiramisu (my favourite) for dessert
It just shows how lovely they can be if they want to be.
I've had a lovely day today (despite the fact that it's pee-d it down all day!) My bridesmaid, her fiance and I went to the German market in town after exchanging Christmas pressies. (My OH didn't go as last year he had a huge hissy about the pushing crowds and isn't really a crowd person.) Anyways, I managed to buy a little boot shaped mug (without having to pay £3.50 for the hot chocolate!)
I'm very impressed with the mugI also bought a present for my OH's best woman... Now, to be fair I can't stand her, but I thought I'd make the effort and I'm pretty proud of myself for doing so (and I even bought her something nice.)
Ahhh, I'm feeling festive now, it's just a shame I have work tomorrow and my Christmas tree isn't up yet :rotfl:❤Planned our wedding, still planning lessons❤
