They look really good! Very impressive that you are making them yourself as well.

I think I want pocketfold invitations...see http://www.cardsandpockets.com/customerinvitationgallery.aspx if you're not sure what I mean, they look so good I'm just wondering if I could pull off something as professional looking!

    I've been Money Tipped!
Becca that is exactly the same invitations we are going for :D. But the ones i have found are alot more expensive than yours. Where are you getting yours from?

Basically I went into my local printers and asked what he could do for me, that my colour scheme was purple and that was about the only requirement I had. So he came back with one like this and said he could do that for us, assemble it all and we would only have to write the names in and tie the ribbon!
Worth asking around your local print shops x

  • I'm off today at around half 12 ish to get measured for and to pay the deposit for my wedding dress....

I'm ever so slightly excited (and nervous!) but I've tried to dress on twice on 2 separate occasions (about 2 months apart) and the second time I went to the shop I allowed the shop assistant to pick out a few dresses which were very different in style (she also picked out THE dress!)

I tried the dresses on as she brought them around, tried on a meringue dress which I thought was really nice so kept it to the side, tried on another meringue style dress, didn't like it, then my dress came round, I had butterflies in my stomach as I was taking it off the hanger and as soon as I got it on (and before I'd seen myself in it again) I just knew it was the dress...

I managed to stay in the dress for about half an hour :j and asked the assistant the important questions e.g. price, alterations, when I need to order it etc... (Unfortunately that shop was up in Lancashire and I'm in Brum.)

Have found a lovely shop in Brum, ten mins from my house... 2 sisters own it and they seem lovely, AND to top it off they're giving me 10% off the dress so it's the cheapest I've seen it! Yaaaaay! :j

Anyways, I'll finish the long post but I really wanted to share it with everyone! :)

    Hey girls

I found the dress yesterday!! Thing is it is over budget :( Have looked online and found 2 on preloved for half the retail price but can't remember what size I was in the shop - anyone know how it relates to normal dress size?

I have also found the dress on another website which is based in China...not sure if I trust it. Has anyone else bought there dress like that? It is about a third of the price but I think they must make knock offs because you can pick different colours which aren't in the normal selection.

    Any thoughts would be great

    Thanks

Are you able to ring the shop? Or maybe go back in? I'm not sure how they relate and forgot to check this myself too, doh
