    Hello lovely ladies :)
I have come to join the club! We're marrying on Monday 18th June 2012 at Manor Farm Barn in Ipswich, Suffolk and so far we have only booked the venue and insurance, but I'm working on save the date magnets as we speak. Thinking about making our own cake(s) and have people to help with invitations and flowers. Also know where I'll be getting the dress from. No ideas yet on photography, colour scheme or anything else really!

    Thanks Becca!

I've been thinking about invitations today...is anyone printing their own? If so, what are you using to design them?

    Aye, thanks :)
We're getting his Aunt to do it as she's great at that stuff. But I would have thought you could do it in publisher fairly easily.

  • I am intending to have a go with embossing to make my own invites. You need a heat gun which is about £20, stamps, ink and embossing powder. I will have to make 100 though so will take me a while! Just made "Save the date" magnets. Printed a simple design and laminated it and then bought magnetic tape which we cut up and stuck to the back. Look really professional and were very easy to do, much cheaper than professional stationary.

All done miss gg. Wow we are getting a long list now!
We had budgeted 50 to make our own invitations and when I looked into the cost of the card, getting inserts printed (we don't have a printer) and the ribbon etc it came to just under that. I enquired at my local printers and he quoted 60 so for the extra tenner we are going for it. This is for 30 day invites and 30 evening.
    They will be like this:
