EEEEEEEEEEEEK! Just had my hair cut and coloured for the wedding so it has time to settle naturally Booked in for brows and gel nails on the 25th & 26th. Going over my mum's tonight so I'll be breaking in my shoes and annoying them :rotfl:

Aahhhh it's my hen do tomorrow and I'm ridiculously excited! Didn't get to take my dress as I've somehow lost too much weight so it needs taken in. Not sure how given the amount of cake I've eaten recently!

Had a really busy week and saw the venue's wedding coordinator on Friday. She was brilliant and put my mind to rest on a few of the niggly things I was worrying about. Finally got the menu settled on - OH and I couldn't decide on the same main course so she gave us a massive list of their banqueting mains so we could choose off that instead
Was impressed with how MSE OH was as well. We don't want flowers on the tables and the venue said we could use their candelabras, but we went to a wedding the other week where they had huge fancy candelabras and OH wanted them instead. So we explained that if we'd liked their candelabras then we could have the higher priced buffet for the evening; but if we didn't then we could only afford to have the lowest cost buffet if we bought our own candelabras. OH asked for a reduction in the cost of the higher priced menu and after thinking for a while she said she'd get some quotes for cheaper candelabras for us and we'd only have to pay for 85% of the evening guests. Win! :T
There was a wedding on whilst we were there and the bride came down the stairs that we were told to sit under. I was so excited and nervous at the same time - thought I might cry! The venue were very efficient with instructing guests around and keeping to timings so fingers crossed for our big day!

hi all, its been a while since I last commented.
Hen do was on Saturday and I had a ball! went shopping today with chief BM, so got all my last bits and pieces, all im outstanding now is sweets for my tables and im officially done.

spoony i so understand what you mean about family...out of 17 of mine invited...6 are coming, i couldnt believe it, but my mums more annoyed than me, im not the one missing out on anything. just keep that in your mind, it helps
lots of OHs cousins not coming, also stupid reasons. eg. forgot the date and arranged to go on a bike ride, and (yes this was an astual excuse used...) being too shy. but lest we not forget my cousin who isnt coming because hes cat sitting that weekend. families suck...unfortunately we're stuck with them!
o well!

my dress is also away for its final alterations, picking it up next saturday...cant wait!

OH spent his day off booking appointments with the registrar, caterer and venue co-ordinator and looking at booking wedding night accomodation....and I thought he was going to relax :rotfl:

He was really worried as the caterer hasn't been in touch and there is only 7 weeks to go. I tried to reassure him but then he got me panicked and I had a few wedding related dreams where everything goes wrong :eek: We have an appointment with everyone next week so hopefully everything gets sorted but hotel is booked for the wedding night :j

Is anyone still having problems with rsvp's? Most people have accepted for the day but we've hardly had any replies for the evening so I'll need to chase them up. One of my brothers still hasn't replied or indicated he's coming with his family yet (it's a family of 6) so I need to find out. I really hope he can come

Hen night in 3 weeks - I cannot wait! I'm so excited to be a hen and looking forward to wearing a flashing tiara :rotfl: My mum has been trying to find one for me along with a sash and L plate

And need to attach a bustle or two to my dress. I saw a video on youtube showing you how to do it and I think I'll have a go. I just hope it works...fingers crossed!
