Pern - Sorry to hear about the problems you're having with the dress. I tried on a strapless dress and found it was not for me. I personally prefer straps and I don't want to be pulling up my dress all day! :rotfl:
You should do whatever makes you feel comfortablebut I'm sure your OH will think you look gorgeous regardless.
Gemmzie - a chocolate and a cupcake sounds good!!
Becca - I can't wait until TTC but will wait till honeymoon. Good luck with it
I have my dress, I have my dress, I have my dress!!! *happy dance* :j:j:j It is soooooo lovely and sparkly and it fits yay!!It is a genuine Romantica dress (don't know what style). It has a train so I've been looking at it to try and see if it can be put up. Either that or I have it down all day. And I have my tiara too!! :j
Still need to get shoes; shoes and shirts for OH and son; order bouquet (either real or not); sort music for guests, walking down the aisle etc; sort list for photographer for pics on the day; speak to caterers again; speak to venue.......etc etc the list goes on....
OMG I can't believe it's 7 weeks on Friday :eek:SPC 9 # 5360 -
Thanks everyone. It's not going to happen before the wedding, we're not that lucky but I've more come off the pill to get my body ready.
Umbra - looks lovely. We're having a signing frame rather than a book.
What's everyone got left to do?
Ooo I'm having gel nails on the day - are they good?!
I've only ever had acrylics for the hen do but I found them really difficult to get on with as I'm used to having really short nails (I'm a biterand I work with young people!) so I'm trying gels as they are apparently softer.
We don't seem to have much left to do, which is causing panic that we've forgotten something! OH & one usher still need to sort their suit sizes out, OH needs new shoes (oh I'll just wear my work ones doesn't make a happy bride, lol !), cupcake samples are due next week and then it's just everything to pay for!
I'm nearly sorted, just one more hair trial to make sure it's rightNo longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
It was a year ago today that my fiance proposed (and I of course said yes!) :j
Can't believe I'm going to say this but....we all get married next month!!! and :j at the same time!SPC 9 # 5360 -
Thanks Becca & Pern - Guest Book took ages but it was worth it
It was my 30th birthday in March so I had a massive pamper session and had a Shellac UV Gel French manicure and pedicure. Looked really nice and natural. I've had acrylics before and struggled with them as they were too long but she just painted the gel straight on and then set it with UV. My toes still have this on (still looking perfect but slightly grown out) and that's been 6 weeks, and my nails were perfect for about a month before I picked it off because it started to peel.
Contacted the venue yesterday and they've sent through a table plan and a list of 26 questions that they need answering when we sit down with them. They even want to know how we want the napkins folded?!!!!
Pern, maybe if you're a bit self conscious you could have a bolero or a stole?

Is the dress well boned? I didn't think mine would need any but the MILTB who's making it said that it may need some to hold it up. I'm going for elbow length gloves and my veil is cathedral length so should keep me fairly well covered upGetting married: 21/06/12!Current weight loss: 2st!!!0 -

Thanks Anibell, I hope so! Glad you're pleased with your dress
UmbraFeles - I am envious of your venue!! My venue's inexperience is showing now...I just hope it all falls into place! Thanks for the idea of the bolero/stole but I think I'll get too hot in them! The dress is very well boned so I know it gives me a good shape round there it's just I am worrying over a stupid comment my sister made when she saw me in it...:( I think I just need to stop worrying about what I look like & hope for the best!

And it's my hen do this weekend! Aaahh so excited! No idea what it is but I can not wait! (yeah not a productive day in work). 7 weeks tomorrow!0 -
Hello everyone!
You all seem to be very busyYay for everyone who has their dress now, I on the otherhand am finally going to have a dress fitting tomorrow (although I feel sick at the thought as I haven't seen it or tried it on since the beginning of April last year... I'm having the "oh what if I don't like it" thoughts.)
Congrats Becca on TTC :j I found out earlier this week that my best friend and chief bridesmaid might be pregnant... I'm really excited for her and hope she is
I've had a few eventful weeks, basically OH and I had a plan to save up for a deposit and hopefully buy a house next year in an area which is being renovated. Someone's son at work is buying a house in that area so I mentioned this to OH, we went to have a look at the beginning of April, booked an appointment to view the show home. I made a joke about how we could announce at the wedding that we got bored with wedding planning so bought a house and OH took this seriously.... So we're buying a house :j We're just awaiting the paperwork from the mortgage company... Talk about doing the two most stressful things! I just need to stop worrying; it'll be a stretch with everything but should be do-able
Now onto a moan... My famuly are pants and most aren't turning up to the wedding! Grrrr! Some of OH's family are also pants; we invited his aunt, uncle and their daughter (she's 35 but they won't go anywhere without her), two weeks ago the uncle rang MIL2B to ask about their other son and his family coming to the wedding (OH hasn't spoken to him in 12 years), we put our foot down and said no. This week OH received an email to say they could no longer make it (despite emailing early on to say they have booked a campsite space and that was when they were only invited to the evening do!) Grrrrrrr! Their excuse is that they have no money, despite going on holiday during the same week as our wedding and having 3 horses! Double grrrrrrrr!
Anyways girls, I hope you're all well and are having more of a stress-free time than me
I need to now order the cake topper and the wedding breakfast background music whilst OH is on his stag weekend❤Planned our wedding, still planning lessons❤
