Our people that we've bumped up have been really pleased, people understand the costs involved with weddings.

I don't need to preserve my flowers because they are foam :D

    Sod 'family obligations'!! :D

Yay! :) So nice to see everyone's guest lists seem to be having some really positive last minute adjustments!

Went to see the dressmaker last night. She was LOVELY and really put me at ease. She pinned the dress where it needs to be taken in and I felt amazing :o She's taking it up, taking it in, fixing the straps and making it so it can be hitched up in the evening. And it'll be about £60 :) Which means my dress will have cost me less than £200 all in. Happy! And it's another job ticked off the list. Feeling good :T

    I've been Money Tipped!
I cannot believe I am getting married in 37 days! It's flying by.
Had my dress fitting last week and I LOVE my dress. Bridesmaids look lovely too.

All I have left to do is get OOS and table plan printed, wrap all thank you gifts and choose my entrance music. That is IT!

Oh and we have started TTC... eeeeekkkkkk!!

So glad you all seem to be having good adjustments to guest lists - it's lovely being able to invite people you actually want there!!
First baby due 3/3/14 - Team Yellow! Our little girl born 25/2/14 :D

I have finally finished the favours!!:j:j

Thank god! Gluing 140 personalised wrappers onto packets of mini love hearts was doing my head in  And btw double sided sticky tape DOES NOT WORK!!! I tried that and the next day they were all coming away
All we do with them now is add a lotto ticket but we can just fold those :D

OH still thinks the favours are cheap (cost wise...they look lovely!). I stupidly made the mistake of telling him how they worked out at £1.17 each including the lotto ticket (well within budget) and he replied with "well that's great but I don't think we've spent enough and I want to get something else". I wanted to punch him.........

And the wedding dress I ordered came today :j but because I was at stupid work it is at the post office waiting for me to collect it tomorrow......boo

  • I've got loads of stuff left to make :(
Couldn't find a Guest Book we liked so I'm making that at the moment; making butterfly favour boxes which take ages; got to design and make wedding programmes and table numbers.
Need to get hold of a costume as well for one of my hen parties as they've decided to have it during the Jubilee weekend. They've therefore said I need to dress up as a queen so I'm thinking Cleopatra at the moment. They're having a theme of red, white and blue!
Glad we're not getting married until the end of June!

I'm also grateful I'm not getting married until the end of June! I feel like I have so many "small" things to do still, yet they seem to be taking up time! It's going to be such a busy weekend as we're going to pick up the rings from Birmingham tomorrow, I am soooo excited & don't know if I'll be able to resist wearing it, hehe!

Glad everyone's "bumping" is going well, our RSVP's are all meant to be in by 1st of May & if I remember correctly about two thirds have responded now, but a lot of people we know are coming haven't bothered to send the card back! Annoying as we have a choice of dishes for the wedding breakfast so we really need to know what people are having in advance. Some people haven't responded at all so no idea what's going on there :( I'm quite disappointed that one of my aunt's who was apparently saying how much she was looking forward to coming to the wedding called my parents this week & left a garbled voicemail simply saying sorry she couldn't make it & got my name mixed up with one of my sisters  *Sorry, BRIDEZILLA alert!!* Lol.

Anibell - I feel for you re the favours...OH & I spent hours opening packets of seeds & transferring them into tiny glass bottles using a paper funnel! We're not even finished yet as I need to make up some little tags & tie them on with ribbon! & yes - Sod 'family obligations'!! :D

Becca - Sorry what is TTC? My brain is all over the place at the moment! I had my second dress fitting yesterday & it seems to fit really well with the only adjustments being added straps, I felt a bit chubby in a strapless gown & am now doubting that decision, argh!! I must be the most indecisive bride ever.

Cathy - What's the problem with the "best woman" now?

I was supposed to be getting my dress today but the lady had to cancel :-( gutted! On the up-side today is my belated birthday celebration! OH is making meFrench toast while i stay in bed and i get to find out about one of my hen dos today!
Pern the best woman thing was about shoes. we had agreed she would buy her own because her suit worked out so expensive and oh turned round and said he was going to buy them. i just cracked because she isn't doing any "best man" jobs - no stag do, no speech and has done literally nothing! It just feels a bit unfair on my amazing bm because she's wearing shoes she already had. BW sent me a link to ones she was thinking about and they're gorgeous (Im only a wee bit jealous!) but they're £50. I don't want to make a big thing bout it but even if we paid half i think that'd be more than fair? (oops that turned into a bit of a rant!)
