Seems that RSVPs are a general problem at the moment. After a lot of hassling people I'm finally down to 6 outstanding and they're for the evening do so I've given them until the 1st of June anyway.
Really impressed with OH. He's arranged with the hairdresser when he's going in and got our security alarm working for when we go on honeymoon. :T
Had another makeup trial last weekend; and a work colleague came over on Tuesday to tell me that his daughter's wedding at our venue last weekend went brilliantly and the staff couldn't have been more helpful so that's a relief! Been away on business most of the week so another week has flown by with nothing done. Got favours and post box to do today!
Had another dress fitting yesterday so that was exciting. Took 2 hours because I tried all the layers on one over the other and she made the alterations and sewed whilst I was there. It's nearly looking perfect now but I'd lost more weight since the last fitting (even though I'm not really trying to anymore!) so she had to take it in loads again!
    Getting married: 21/06/12! :D
    Current weight loss: 2st!!!

Only three weeks to go and I'm starting to panic about numbers for the evening. I couldn't invite several of my friends due to numbers and now loads of OH's friends haven't RSVP'd so I'm beginning to wish I'd just asked them instead!
    So excited now though!

    *VENT ALERT!*

RSVP's have become a problem here too! Lots of chasing involved for a start, & now I've had my first "weird" excuse! I invited my cousin, her husband & their three children all under 10 & initially we were told verbally that they would be coming, & they were so excited they had 2 outfits for their youngest.

Then when my Mum started chasing as we didn't have the RSVP card back we were informed that they had agreed to foster a child from Chernobyl?! & if that went through then they were not allowed to bring him/her to any family parties so they weren't sure...then last week they rang my Mum again to say that all of them were coming, & just a day or 2 later they rang again to say that cousin's hubby had been posted elsewhere. He's in the military so fair enough I guess...I'm just sick of all the hassle!!! Seems so rude that so many family members seem to think it's ok to verbally agree then turn around & do that.

Now we have a lot of spaces to fill & I'm worried we're not going to make up the numbers, I really, really wish we'd just kept it small but back then I felt if I invited one person from a group, then the rest should all get the same treatment else they'd be offended. These days I couldn't care less!!!

I'm trying to focus on something that should be more positive, like my hen do which is this weekend  but from what I know it's mainly been planned a bit last min...The stuff I instigated like where to go & how to get there, where to stay, etc has been sorted but the actual things we're going to do, what to wear, have only really come together in the last week & my MoH is still organising half of it.

I'm really concerned it's not going to be the great weekend I'd hoped for & I know that sounds really ungrateful & bridezillalike, it's just from what I hear it's not what I'd have picked at all & seems to have all been decided by what my pregnant MoH wants to do rather than what I'd like, & she's not listened to any of my other friend's input.

She seems to think she knows me so well when recently we've drifted a little as we don't have so much in common anymore. An example is another friend of mine had suggested a cocktail making thing which sounded great to me, but apparently my MoH said "no as you work in a bar already so it wouldn't be a break" I don't serve fancy cocktails, I serve beer mostly! Even when I said "Oh that sounds fun" she stuck to her reason for not doing it. My MoH doesn't drink even when not pregnant so I can't help but think she made the decision for herself rather than me...She's picked "glittery" hats as part of the theme which again is her thing, not mine! I don't think I've ever worn glitter around her lol.

I hope I'm just being paranoid & it'll all turn out ok as I don't feel like I can say anything as she keeps saying she wants it to be perfect & I know she's worried about it...& I am grateful she's taking her time to organise a hen weekend for me but I don't know, just got a bad feeling about it all that I can't shake :(

Pern my hen do was organised by my 2 bms and I had the exact same fears. To be honest, we did some things on my hen do that had you told me a week before, I would have flipped my lid at. But I really enjoyed it because it was MY hen do and I was relaxed. I had the weekend of my life! I really hope they have done you proud - have a fab time, you'll never get to do it again!!

It's my second hen do on Saturday at my house, so franatically trying to get it clean and tidy. Have my final dress fitting tomorrow night (I hope it's final anyway!) and still got a few things left to do.

    18 days!

    How is everyone?
