Argggghhhh! My head is very, very sore!
We both had the day off work to sort out wedding things so had appointments with the caterer, registrar and venue co-ordinator. OMG we still have lots of stuff to do
- We decided on vows which took us 5 minutes over lunch
- Music is sorted with registrarbut need to put it on CD for venue (I don't know how to do this so OH needs to do it!)
- Went through arrangements with venue and things are sorted but expecting a bigger bill
- Caterer is up to date with what we want/need
- First dance songs are sorted
We still need to do:
- A table plan in a specific way the caterer wants
- Contact all the day guests to see what they want to eat (out of 2 choices). Not easy as a lot have not RSVP'ed yet!
- Put their menu choices on the back of their place card
- Sort my bouquet and buttonholes
- Finish organising my hen night (which is next weekend!) as my organiser (mum) decided to go away on holiday for 2 weeks and isn't back until a few days before!!
Hope your dress fitting goes well Becca
And to all those who have still to have their hen night....it'll be great because it is all about us :rotfl: (in theory anyway!) Have fun girliesSPC 9 # 5360 -

Hello sounds like everyone is very busy not long for us all now, had our 1st wedding present delivered today a beautiful wooden garden table and chair set! Makes it oh Soo much more real.
Last time I was on here I found out my dad had cancer so couldn't fly abroad for the wedding but they have now altered his treatment so he can come to give me away...... Soo happy couldn't imagine not having my parents on my wedding day.
Finally found our 1st1st dance song by bruno mars- rest of my life its perfect for us. Also get my dress packed into my suitcase on saturday ready to depart a week tomorrow till anyhow.
Well hope everyone is well and not too stressed out just try to remember what the day is about the two of you x x0 -
yay the garden is finally getting sorted,
the building company finally (9 months thinking about it) agreed to get landscapers in to take up the turf (bricks and rubble from the prefab that was here before), they will be here monday to sort out the top 3 meters of the garden, but won't do patio, thats fine as they have agreed to make ready so OH can slap the patio down after they have done their bit, he is also in the process of digging a pond in the lower part of the garden (got a bee in his bonnet and will do this at the weekend ready to fill and be settled in a week)
And breathe.
Suits finally ordered, OH company take ages to pay each week sometimes they can take a month to pay himall in the contract too even though they know he is weekly.
dress is back, my bridesmaid did an amazing job, it fits in all the right places, they have their dresses/shoes etc.
Found lovely silver necklaces for them with butterflies on which they adore.(bridesmaids)
whats left is the food, sandwich lady rang yesterday and confirmed a price, quiche lady i will see next week and get info from her. Popped down to costco a few days ago and picked up a 56 piece mini cakes (frozen) that with 3 packs of profiteroles.
Don't forget if you are doing what i am with getting food yourself, its if you are getting married after the jubilee is all supermarkets will sell the jubilee food off cheap after the event, i'm looking at the frozen section not the fresh... money off
Still holding on to buy the M&S wedding cakes as the date today to buy and be ready is 25th May which is way too early..0 -
Mupette with the M&S cakes you can preorder to collect nearer the date. We are doing it with their canapes.
Ashtray heart - I refuse to look at the weather! It is my second hen do tomorrow and I haven't even bothered to check! Just make sure you have a 'wet weather' plan for the wedding day.
