Hen-do....done! I'm gutted it's over but it was so amazing :D My bridesmaid organised a cupcake cooking/decorating class with a gorgeous lunch and fizzy wine. We had a lovely cottage to ourselves so all the girls made a lovely dinner while I was told to stay out of the kitchen/dining room and relax. So we all dressed up and when I came back in they'd decorated the room with balloons and pictures of me and H2B so I burst into tears lol. And then cried again later when I was presented with a book where everyone had written lovely things and put in pictures. It was just so sweet.
There was also a Mr and Mrs quiz which was hilarious, and wee gift bags so I had to wear a veil, flashing L plate and got a flashing garter lol, the perfect amount of tacky!

I was just so over-whelmed by how amazing everyone was, not used to be being the centre of attention like that. I wouldn't change a thing!

    Hi everyone,

    Not long left now!!

Glad hen do's have been very much enjoyed & everyone's plans seem to be coming together :) My hen do is in just under 2 weeks now  I'm not used to being the centre of attention & just hope I cope ok with it...if I can't cope in front of 20 friends how will I manage on the big day?!

I've had a few RSVP hiccups - several people have not sent the card back & when asked it's boiled down to "I don't know, I think so/I don't think so" - so annoying! I don't want to put them down as definite yes's or no's incase they change their mind...Some people we know are coming have not bothered sending the card back despite several reminders, so no idea what they want to eat! If they don't reply by the end of the month I'll be choosing for them lol.

The excuses we've had so far aren't so bad besides one where we know he's lying! He can't get out of work (lie), she can't afford the cost of putting the dogs in kennels, too frail for the journey, away that weekend, they can't afford the flight, & they've already booked a hotel for some Games Workshop thing, he's trying to see if he can rearrange it but he doesn't think so...

Trina, the bike ride one is hilarious & at the same time so rude!! Dunno how you remained polite after that.

A busy evening ahead of me sorting more "little" but time consuming bits, I will be ready in time!!

That's what I was thinking!! On the RSVP card we've given them the choice to write, text or phone (that's why we put a mobile number as well as an address). People at work have come up to me with an acceptance card or have just spoken to me to confirm and that's fine too.....just tell me!!!!

RSVP's I've just given up on. I know that the 40 from the breakfast will be at the night do, and I know vaugley who will be coming to the night do.

I'm sitting here looking at a grand total of 7 actual RSVP's... Some I know for deffiante are coming, such as 4 from my Scotland family as they have booked a room, another 2 from Kent as they have confirmed to me etc.

I'm not stressing over the RSVP's to be honest... I know the people for the breakfast are deffinatly coming as they are the close family, and for the night do, we are catering for 60, if 60 don't turn up, well more food for us. I'm not bothered haha.

Just damn rude when people don't reply... I'd send a card at least! I'm trying to kid myself that people are trying to RSVP on my old phone number... but that is out of use now, and there is our address and h2b's number on there, AND most of the invited are on facebook in our facebook group! I think theres about 30/40 on there that have said 'yes' to attending, but not sure how many will turn up as I know what people and facebook events are like... they say yes, then don't bother or forget.

On a rubbish note... one of the diamonds has fallen out of my engagement ring! :'( Need to go see if they will swap my ring or something at the jewellers on Saturday as h2b very wisely bought a warrenty with it :) (i never buy warrentys on anything so good job he had sence!)

Getting close now girls... 30 days for me!

    xx

That happened to me with my ring MrsShawToBe but mine is a family ring so it's going to be over £150 to fix so I have another family ring to borrow for the day  :o

I'm seriously considering a facebook page to check numbers with our friends as I'm sick of trying to guess. Think that's a job for OH tonight as they are mostly his friends that haven't replied!

Good idea Gem! It's my complete bug bear of weddings I've decided.

Got an exciting few weeks ahead - my mum is taking me for a surprise day out on Saturday, then taking my little bm into the church on Sunday for a practice and hoping to get her shoes (have ordered loads online)! Then next Weds is my final fitting and next Sat is my 'at home' hen do. Exciting!!

    23 days 2nd June girls!

Well, we finally got the rest of OH's and son's outfit today after a LONG day. Phew!

We ended up in Edinburgh thinking we'd be able to get everything quickly no problem. How wrong we were! OH got sorted quickly in Debenhams with the shirt and shoes but the formal wear for kids is a joke! Hardly anything so I was not impressed

Finally ended up getting a shirt for son out of M&S in the school section. He wanted a short sleeved one so got a pack of 2 for £8 and fits him perfect. Got the shoes too :j

The best buy were MY shoes out of M&S :D Gold sparkly wedges, soooo comfy and only £19.50. How could I refuse?? :rotfl:

And MIL2B has said she will pay for my bouquet...how very lovely of her :D

And I've given up on RSVP's for the time being....I don't care atm!
