Has anyone else had a really helpful OH who's just totally switched off? He is sick of planning and just wants it to be the day which is really unhelpful with two months to go and all the evening invites (mostly his friends) to be hand delivered because he didn't send them earlier.

Gem, I feel as tho I've switched off - I just want the day here! OH has always been a bit on and off, although when asked to do something weddingy, he does it.

I had to bug him about the rings tho (it's a friend of a friend who is making them); we decided on them last year and were supposed to have a mock up to check sizes. Thankfully MIL2B was there and also said we should have had them by now. It's a good job we did, as OH's ring was 2 sizes too big and mine was one size too big.

Slowly, but surely plodding on! It's my hen night on 14th, tho technically it's a sorta hen week starting next Sunday when my chief bridesmaid gets here. I have my hair and make up trial next Monday. Hopefully at the weekend we can go and finalise the venue details (although, I'm still waiting for RSVPs - including one from my sister! Grrrr!)

Pern, hopefully with you and the others kicking up a fuss, they'll realise their mistake and won't pass the cost onto you. That is entirely their fault, not yours and you shouldn't have to pay for it!

Oh and does anyone have any idea what P L G S stands for? Apparently it's what I'm doing during the day of my hen "experience" and I have no idea!

Thanks. I'm getting the same, I just want it here but things still need to be done. I have to chase the registration service today as they've sent us the wrong documents and I'm worried that means they've mis-charged us as well!

Hi All,
Haven't been on here for ages. It seems like all I've done for the past few months when I'm not at work is make invites and get grumpy with guests who want me to arrange their transport and accommodation!
Hope everyone's managing to cope with everything - looks like there's a few problems floating around.
I went to a wedding last night and it put all my panicking/stress into perspective. You can't please everyone and the people that whinge will always find something to whinge about regardless of what you do to try and appease them!
Downside to taking OH to another wedding is he's now decided we need the same candelabras, which will cost about £400 to buy!

Can anyone think of any Queen costumes? One of my hen parties will be on the Jubilee weekend so they've decided I'm having a Queen theme and they're all dressing in a colour code of red, white and blue! I'm hoping if I get in there first with a costume that I won't have to wear something they're suggesting. Suggestions so far have been Freddie Mercury, a drag queen and dressing up as Queen Elizabeth...

I think it's this point when we all realise how difficult guests can be! We've handed over the planning to my dad because we're both working so much that we don't have time to answer the same question 50 times over!

Hello everyone!!
I haven't been around for ages - work and wedding planning have taken over my life, in that order! Went on my surprise hen weekend this weekend which was amazing and the girls did a fab job!
53 days left - eek! Got quite a bit left to do but ticking things off the list.
Hope everyone is OK

2 months and 1 week here.

OH's brother turned down the invite to the wedding, his only living relative left and he said no, but via email a few weeks earlier he was yes we are looking forward to it, very two faced, if he doesn't want to do something he will talk himself into not doing something and no reasoning will move him, so after his letter saying no, there will be no communications from me. OH can if he wants to but the brother has cut his ties with me now.

I'm just back from my dress fitting :j oh my god I loooooove it! Thought I was going to get to take it away with me today but it's not quite done but it's the most together it's been and now I'm super excited! Did a quick hair do and had my Nans pearls on and ahhhhh so excited! 74 days to go!
