Hey ladies hope all the wedding planning is going wer 10 weeks today for me getting a bit stressed now and to top it of we had my dads results back today it is cancer... the dreaded words i really did not want to hear, so its most likely he wont be able to fly for our wedding i am distraught but fingers crossed the docs havent said no yet. (trying to stay postive)
Im in such a whirlwind of emotions and trying to stay postive for my parents but it has emotionally drained me! even if he cant fly i just pray to god that he will still be with us for the afterparty, so if anyone is listening up there that is the only wedding present i want or need IS to have my dad with me on my wedding day PLEASE just PLEASE.

Anibell - So glad everything is going ahead still! Sounds like it's your dad's loss to be honest, you've obviously turned out just fine without him around!
Spoony - Glad your flowers are sorted, I'm sure your cake will be just as lovely too so don't stress yourself out!
Sammy - I am really, really sorry to hear that :( Fingers crossed he makes a speedy recovery & is able to come to your wedding. I was going to copy & paste my rant on a daily thread I post on about the stress I'm having with my venue but it seems so trivial compared to what you posted! Although it does make me question whether or not the wedding will have to be postponed.

Aww Sammy, I'm really sorry. Will keep my fingers crossed that the docs will let him go. I am sure they know how important it is to him. *hugs*

Don't worry about getting stressed out over 'small' stuff Spoony - I am sure most of us have been guilty of that at least once so far! Did you get anywhere with it yet?

Pern - what's up with the venue stuff?

The venue dropped a major bombshell on Sunday - they were planning on buying new tables & chairs but since the barn they're building to store them in isn't finished, they won't be able to do this & so the cost is being passed onto us! That is the main problem, there were a few others that have mostly been sorted out now but I've just lost all confidence in them, they seem to be trying to rip us off as much as possible now :( I was going to send the invitations out this week but I can't now as I don't even know if it's going ahead still! Such a mess :(

Erm, what? They're getting you to foot the cost of new tables and chairs? (I might be reading this wrongly - tired!) How can that be fair? What have they said about it/how did they try to justify it to you?

Can only imagine how stressed you must feel :( Really sorry, hope you manage to get it sorted

Pern - do you have a written contract?

Sorry I didn't phrase that very well, basically because they are no longer buying them in time for this wedding season, they will need to hire them in which is the cost being passed onto us. I have worded an email that will basically make her look a little silly if she continues with this so fingers crossed she will drop it but I may end up paying an extra £280ish  Not impressed....

We do have a contract but despite the two pages it fills there is no mention of tables & chairs so it's our word against theirs if we took it legal. I just hope all the other couples who will have had the same bombshell dropped are kicking up a fuss too!
