We finally decided on mini love hearts with a personalised label in little organza bags with a lotto ticket. Organza bags arrived the other day, just waiting on the labels. The love hearts have been bought already thanks to my lovely mum :D

Congrats on the weight loss and I'm sure you'll get where you want to be  Very dark chocolate is good as you only need a little bit and your craving is satisfied. I just want to do this :EasterBun

Need to be good, need to be good.............

"Best-woman" suit....done! cost WAAAYYY more than the mens suits and now I'm panicking that she thinks we're buying her shoes too. I told her she could pick her own because I'm not fussed what she wears on her feet. I was saying to OH about getting her a necklace as her pressie (to wear instead of a tie) and he said we could combine her present and shoe fund to get a killer pair of shoes.....er.....what?! My MOH is wearing shoes she already owns and mine cost £7! Why would we buy her shoes?! So now I have to either talk him into bringing it up with her or find a way to do it myself. Gah.
Made some headway with invitations too. cards and ribbon etc for the envelopes, just need to figure out how to get place settings attached to our favours!

    How's everyone else getting on?

I don't think it's necessary to buy people's shoes unless you're insisting they have specific ones. Shoes feel too personal to buy and they will probably wear them again. Good luck standing your ground.

We're going very slowly, only 12 weeks to go though

    Debt-free and Proud!
ive had the shoes drama / question too.. i want my girls to all wear silver shoes.. one of them said, well we could all just wear some we all currently have.. then i pointed out when i was her bridesmaid.. she insisted i have a day off and i bought shoes she liked... SO.. they have been asked if they mind buying some ive seen ( fairly cheap - 28 Quid) and i will pay the alteration s on their dresses.. which i think is fair enough as they will wear the shoes again and the dresses which they are keeping.. we will see.....

    i know! 12 weeeks!! aaaaagh!
still got invites for the evening to send out.!!! oh does not seem to grasp the its gettting a bit late concept... invites have been in his van for 3 weeks for some.. with no sign of being deleiverd anytime soon... grrrr

cake ordered, dj arranged, wedding car sorted,

Need to sort Best man/usher and groom suits.. and then pay for the other bits...

How is everyone else getting on? xx

  • I had my hair trial yesterday. I also have had a few makeup trials at different department store counters as I am doing my own. No7 are the best so far and their makeup is on 3 for 2 plus £5 off.

I don't know where the time has gone. Must crack on with my wedding dress diet now!!

How we all doing ladies, just over 3 months to go for me, just under 3 months for some of you.

I need so help and advice, my 2 fantastic wonderful bridesmaids have been so lovely, that i want to get them a gift each.

OH says a bit of jewellery, which i think is lovely, a friend told me today that primark are doing the old 80's plastic bags again and apparently the small ones too, (fit a pack of ciggies in) so i was thinking of getting them a small plastic bag with a nice little necklace or bracelet in, and pretty paper etc..

we are all teens from the 80's and so i like the sound of the bags, that bit is just a reminisce of what we had back then, and then the jewellery inside.

Gemmzie what a nightmare regarding your invites! Kick your OH into gear if they're still not sorted! I agree with you on the shoes, if you're being picky about what your bridesmaids should wear then yes you should pay, but if you just want them to wear some smart black shoes for example (which imo everyone should own anyway!) then I don't see the need to buy more.

This reminds me actually of a shocker my mother pulled asking if I could stretch to buying them some "good, supportive underwear" - now that is definitely something every woman should own already! My bridesmaids dresses have the option of strapless, spaghetti straps, wide straps or cap sleeves, so I really didn't think that was necessary...

In happier news, I've sorted my cake :D I am really pleased as I am getting exactly what I want for only £75, bang on budget which makes a nice change!

I've ordered my placecards for free using an amazon voucher from topcashback too, think I might be getting there!

    So how we doing ladies..

I'm still awaiting Bovis to let me know what they plan to do with my garden as they are responsible for 3 meters away from the house, which is the size of patio needed for my garden (very small garden)

planters got painted this weekend, and more have been offered to me free,

good as i am just sowing and germinating some lovely ornamental chilli plants for the garden.

Still the mens suits to sort, then the cake nearer the time (M&S)

we do have a plan b if all fails for the garden, which is to cement the area but lots of slabs of coloured stones etc, you would see more stone than cement.

will post picc's nearer the time so you can see what on earth i am on about.
