We're doing alright, chugging along.

Have one guest who's being a bit difficult though. Invited him to the reception but not the whole day as not that close to him anymore. He thanked us for the invite and said he'd be there, then asked if he could come to the ceremony too, and bring a friend.
We politely said no, space, cash issues. He's come back with 'we'll stand at the back' and I'll pay for my mate.
Perhaps we should have just told him we don't want someone we don't even know at our wedding! And if we wanted him at the ceremony he'd have been invited!

Oh Rahven, what a cheek this guy has! I don't think people have any idea of how hard it can be to plan a wedding until they do it. Even if he pays for this guys food it might mean an extra table is needed, which means an extra centrepiece, extra chair cover perhaps, etc etc. It all adds up! & even if that's not the case you & your OH are the ones who should be deciding who comes.

I think I may be turning into a bridezilla...

I ordered my place cards from a private seller on Amazon, they had about 3 different ivory & gold designs with butterflies on but there was one in particular I liked as it had a swirly floral design which matched our theme best, so I ordered these.

What arrived was a different set, so I emailed the seller & politely explained their error & asked if they'd like me to return them, if they'd send a refund for the postage, & then post out the new ones or if they want to just post the new ones. I assumed that's probably cheaper for them.

I received a short reply asking me to return them for a refund, so I asked again if they could confirm whether or not they would refund the return postage & when the correct place cards would be sent out.

Again, I received a short reply asking me to return for a refund.

Not impressed!

My lovely dad has done our centrepieces/table decorations for us. They are perfect and were pretty cheap too. Should be able to sell the vases afterwards too

OMG we booked the honeymoon yesterday!!!

We hadn't done anything before as we weren't sure of the money situation but that has all been sorted and we are away to Italy!! :j
We've never been before and don't speak any Italian so phrase books and guide books here we come!

So excited!!!!! :D:D

We're ok. Invitations written, just not gone in the postbox yet!

I tried my dress on last night, and it fits!

Got to sort the grooms suit out soon.

OH phoned registrar as we want to give notice tomorrow which should be a happy time

Found out I have to have my worthless excuse for a human being birth father's name on my marriage certificate. Whatever is on my birth certificate has to go on the marriage certificate apparently. Not happy at all :mad:

Am going to speak to them tomorrow and put forward my case. I feel so strongly about this I seriously would consider not signing the marriage certificate even though I love OH loads and want to be his wife. OH completely understands my point of view thankfully.

Going to speak to the local registrar where I was born to see if there is any way he can be taken off it although I don't see this happening.

Sorry to vent....this should be a happy happy time otherwise!

Oh that should be lovely! I know a couple who got married and then honeymooned around there, they had an amazing time! We're doing 4 days in Rome and then a week in Sirmione (Lake Garda). I'm looking forward to using it as an excuse to buy lovely new clothes
