  • Ooooh, that's exciting :T
Got a Papermania butterfly box template (which also have a couple of butterfly templates on) for a few pounds, and some cream pearlised card to make them out of. Then with leftovers from the card I'm cutting out the butterflies from the template to hold together the gatefolds on the invitations.

    Rant!!
I've been away for a week visiting family, my cousin is getting married 23rd June this year - they live in near London and their "perfect venue" is in Somerset, they wanted a Friday or Saturday but they could only have a Thursday. They are going to be spending more on their venue (Coombe Lodge anyone? its expensive!) than we will be spending on our whole wedding! Stupid people. I wouldn't even spend a lot on my wedding even if I could, it's not about that is it!
    Rant over, sorry girls.

    Another Cornwall bride drea! Hi!

Jodt - there's so many really expensive venues around, I guess it's down to how much money people have and where there wedding priorities lie.

There are a lot of Cornish brides, maybe we should have our own thread!
Gemmzie - It just seems so weird to me that they are going to be getting married in a place which means nothing to them miles (and hours) away from where they come from. Weddings are about your past, present and future so they should be related to that not somewhere because of its aesthetic value, although it does help but I think it should also be personal to you as an individual.

I've wondered that about some emmits ( ;) ) too but I guess because Cornwall is so beautiful and touristy - it's bound to happen. When we booked our registrar back in September - they only had two spaces left for the whole day!
Although, we've got no links to our actual venue/its town but it's pretty and the food is lovely -we go there regularly for anniversarys and the like :)

Maybe a secret thread for locals only then!!

What town are you getting married in? We are getting married at Mabe Church, near Falmouth. The Church is booked, and we are having a close friend do the service for us but we went to let him know the date yesterday and he has another wedding (in the morning he thinks, it better be!)
I knew a bride who got married at the big church in Falmouth because she had seen it in Vogue or something, how awful!

Have you been looking at photographers etc?

    Hi all

I just discovered this forum today!

We got engaged at the beginning of Feb and have booked our reception venue for the 16th June 2012!!!! Sooooo excited.

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how you come up with a theme for the day (and stationary etc beforehand). We are looking at a pale green and navy blue colour theme but want to base the day around things we are interested in - just wondered if anyone had any ideas how to come up with something?

Anyway - nice to meet you all!
