Sorry to hear that DonnaP83, Im sure you will find somewhere you like even more soon.

Flackety we are in Manchester however the wedding is in Northern Ireland where I am from. Ive contacted a few different bands now and that seems to be the going rate! :eek:

Anyone got any advice on wedding dress shops in the North West? Is there any particular time of year when they hold sample sales?

Hello all your lovely June 2012 brides! I stumbled on this while searching for tips on wedding insurance.

I'm getting married on the 23rd June 2012, which will be the 4th anniversary of when I started dated my lovely HTB
So far we have the venue booked and deposit paid, registrar booked, photographer sorted (friends sister) and possibly DJ (friend of MIL). Had one wedding dress session and saw two gorgeous but completely different dresses which has left me very confused about what I would like!

Any other brides from the Belfast area on here?

I am originally from Banbridge and thats where our wedding is! Our reception is near Carlingford, and its on the same day as yours!

We're on holiday next week so visiting the four venues we've shortlisted and trialling the food at each.
Was looking at wedding insurance last night - has anyone else got any?

Donnap I really hope you get somewhere for a reasonable price. We never took the first price offered to us, so see if there is room for movement, to change packages etc?

puddy, I think some of us are too organised but there are a few of us who work in schools so can only really get things done in school holidays. I have done nothing wedding wise since half term!

Hey Ladies, I can join you all now we finally have a date! We were supposed to get married this June but unfortunately had to postpone for a year to give us extra time for saving up. Our new date is 20th June 2012 - so excited!

Our ceremony venue is one of my favourite places so I'm really happy to be getting married there. Our reception venue hasn't even been built yet but so I'm a teeny bit nervous but I have faith that it will be finished and looking lovely in plenty of time! Went to my 1st wedding fayre last week and loved it...just put me in such a good mood for planning and made me feel all smiley and excited again!!

Fallen in love with one of the venues we've looked at but we want our wedding on a Thursday (Midsummer's Day) and because they're a small family run business they said that the majority of their staff only work weekends. Dilemma!
