    Evening all

Well the stress from work yesterday worked itself out and all is good at work :). However we are moving desks around and going through lots of crap and having huge clearout so it's a different kind of stress at the moment :rotfl: I'm secretly enjoying it though as I've been itching to do this since I joined 2 years ago! We are continuing tomorrow and Monday!

I'm off out for dinner tonight with my friends, it's our New Year's celebration as that was cancelled due to illness. Going to La Tasca for all you can eat tapas :D, taking the car so not drinking.

Absolutley no OS here other than taking something out of freezer for lunch tomorrow!

    Have a fab evening all

bargainbird I always found beaten egg white was a great cure for nappy rash, I learned it from my mother/gran, maybe JackieO or Marie could confirm it too?

Yes your right beaten egg white does work if all else fails .My late Dad was a chemist, and when my children were small he reccommended 'Lassars Paste' as well which worked beautifully on my childrens butts. My youngest especially as she was like me very fair skinned.I burn dreadfully in the sun so try to stay out of it if possible.
Don't know if you can still buy lassars paste anymore but it was great for little butts like my Tessie's that used to blister very badly when she was in nappies.Bless her, she's 41 now but she's still my baby even though she is 4" taller than me.She took after my late husband who was also tall, my eldest is like me 'vertically challenged' or a short-!!! :):):)

JackieG my mobile is what my Dds cal my 'Jack Duckworth' one, as one of the kids bought it for me for 15 quid and it had a tenners worth of credit on it.It makes calls and texts and thats it ,but its held together with a white rubber band as the back falls off if I take the band off.but it does what I want it to and thats all that matters I don't need an all-singing dancing one if I lose it its not a big deal If I had a dear one I would be heart broken
P.S. must be my day for doing favours ,at 400.p.m. DGS Ben arrived on my doorstep wringing wet and soaked to the skin.
Ben 'Lo Granny, I'm really hungry and wet can I have something to eat.
Me Come in and hit the chocolate biscuit tin '
That boy has hollow legs I think.
My house is halfway between his house and school so being a strapping 15 year old he used his head and knocked for something to eat.He got dried off and a warm drink and some biscuits then said
'I'd better make a move as its getting really dark' That boy knows how to get round me :) I ran him home in my car, no point him getting wet again .
Apparently he doesn't use his bike when the weather is bad as the roads are a bit dangerous from his school to home with traffic .Poor little blighter was frozen and looked like a drowned rat. As I said earlier my reward will comme in heaven ,or at least in Ben's case I will get my lawn mowed when the weather gets sunnier .

  • Lassars paste is also known as Dithranol. It is still used in treating psoriasis. It is however not recommended for babies and infants.
