Wow ESMF that is fast moving - what a good neighbour,I hope you're getting mates' rates
Tigz, a few of us are saving £1 a day for Christmas2011 after sistercas suggested it, so we've called it that in her honour, and lovely though she is, bargainbird, it will all be staying in my family
OH has picked up a day's work tomorrow, and hopefully has something next week too. Fingers crossed. x
Oh meant to also say I called Sky to cancel the movies - I had taken them out just for Christmas and they were an additional £16 which was fine, especially as we were confined to barracks with the snow, we saw some great films - and I have messed up, you need to give them 31 days' notice, I thought you just had to have them for 31 days. Doh! But she offered me my phoneline rental free for six months if I keep them, which is £11.75 off, so in effect we keep the movies for £4.25 a month. I am delighted with that as we don't get out on our own really for adult time, so we can still have movie nights, and if OH is away I like nothing better than peace and quiet to watch a good film. It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0 -

You can have payment in the way of lemon drizzle cake
I have no work again today  last day tomorrow, so i think my pay will be a grand total of £30!! hardly seems worth it! Better than nowt though. And got told i will get some holiday pay and am owed for bank holidays too. so that will bump it up.
We're going to list a few things on ebay this week so hopefully they sell. Ipod, laptop, and i might stick my ipod nano on there too (Ipod is mint with orginal box and cover stickers still on!) so if anyone is after a bargain lemme know.Annual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

Bramble - is musicmagpie any good or do you have to give them really popular stuff like Robbie Williams etc? I've got some stuff I'm thinking of getting rid of...
It's okay - i've only done dvds so far which have been a mixed bag (£3 odd for creature comforts but 30p for mean girls!)
I think it's quantity more than anything and there doesn't seem to be any logic I can work out on pricing. We've not watched the dvds in the year since we moved here so £30 for the lot is okay. I dont think we'd get any takers on ebay or anything for them.Annual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

Oh watch channel was this on? After we cancelled Sky we lost FX and the ones shown on Five are years behind
.
It's on Channel 5 and we're on season 7, think that we're one season behind? Lots of repeats on Fiver USA (Freeview channel 31)
ooh - just read that others replied!
I've had a really productive day and so am happier than for a wee while - being stuck indoors and not being able to get out and about is not good for my morale.
Despite my 'no spend' comment earlier I did go into the shops to pick up ingredients for a low carb pizza which I'll make tomorrow. Base is eggs and cheese.0 -
Thanks for the encouragement guys. It's great to know I am not alone. I can't tell you the relief from not having to go back
Joeck68 I worked in education as well so I know exactly what you mean.
Rage in Eden sounds like you've found a great compromise.
I am trying to put my English degree to good use and write a romance novel. I know it sounds a bit pie in the sky but I've been writing for years and just never done anything with it so going to go for it.
The gang have just arrived home so better get tea on the go JStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Afternoon ladies, I didnt get on here this morning DS decided that he wouldn't be such a darling, then I spent the restt of the day cleaning and studying.
Another NSD for me and should be the same tomorrow, I am doing the Sister Cas fund too but I am going to use the money each month to add to the savings as I took a loan from there to pay for uni so any extra will pay it off quicker and top the savings up. It felt good having the money in savings to borrow and to not have to take out a credit agreement.
Beef cobbler tonight its all ready apart from the cobblers, I stretched my mince last night and made a lasagne and tonights cobbler. I have spent today making butternut squash soup for lunches and I have boiled eggs for egg may sarnies for the OH and kids pack lunches.
NPM your wedding photos are gorgeous. I hope all with poorly tummys are well on their way to recovering. And all sore bottoms are healing, I always found lots of nappy free time worked.

Education isn't what is used to be!! Must say, I don't miss the kids swearing at me (and I worked with years 3 and 4, so only littlies really), and as for the parents, I think teachers and school staff should have body armour! When a parent threatened to kill me, I realised it was time to get out. (and no, we don't live in a 'bad' area).
Life really is too short to take cr*p everyday!Debts at their highest: £37,500

The book says that if you can't find Asiago cheese then just to use Parmesan instead. And the book also says to add any topping you want!
I'm going to make mine tomorrow.0
