Morning all. Day of revision and tidying, then OH is going out/having friends to stay so i'm having a night in with a friend playing cards :D
I did some batch cooking yesterday(bean chilli/stew and baked spuds) but got no whoospies! The shop was so bare, no bananas, no spuds, most of the meat shelves were empty and the only whoopsies were gu brownies(cheap but nah). Hopefully I will get some food at Lidl today as it'd be nice to have something fresh to eat!

Morning - hugs and thoughts to everyone who needs them.
It's a bit dank and grey today, but not really that cold. Woke up feeling stuffed up, but the Olbas Oil pastilles seem to be working. Didn't wake up until 8.15- I must have been really shattered last night. DH went to work very reluctantly , but he came back ten minutes later because the garden tiger had followed him to the bus stop!
Today is laundry and and decluttering day- I've got six loads and at least three bags to fill for the CS. There's a chicken carcass in the SC bubbling away, the kitchen needs blitzing, library books need returning and I've got numerous parcels to send off.
I'd better get on with it- so take care everyone.

  • Lovely pics NPM, so glad you went for the long veil, it looks fabulous! I hope there's a pic of the shoes somewhere though ;)

    Morning All,

Feeling a bit chattier today, although I have terrible TOTM cramps, and am feeling sorry for myself :)

Plan for the day is tree down, make sausage something or other for dinner, for lunch we are having leftover spag bol from last night, and I need to make a loaf.

Th screen on my mobile is not responding to touch, I have disassembled it and cleaned it but there is no change - I can't really spare the money for a new one atm, so I think I'll be borrowing Ds's if he doesn't mind :(

Taeke care everyone, have a good day.

    Hi everyone,

NPM- thanks for the link to your wedding photos, they were lovely.I especially like the one where the 3 of you are linked together with DS in the middle :)

    Feels chilly and damp today.
I did a top up shop yesterday, and got 3 pks of big chicken breasts for £2 each reduced, and another quarter piece of Stilton, also reduced-all gone in the freezer. Also 2 aerosols which were a bit battered, reduced by a pound-one a deodorant, one hairspray so quite happy :) Chicken for tea then .

Stripped 2 beds, and thats finished now,so time to put another load in.Need to order DS2s Prescription prepayment cert. online too, forgot yesterday, and some online banking stuff.I'd like to do some sewing if I get time.I cut a top out yesterday, hardly done any over Christmas. My chap on the market was having a sale,so got a piece of cotton jersey with lycra for £1,probably enough to make 2 :DIt doesnt feel as indulgent keep making stuff for myself if each one only costs 50p.

BB- poor DSs bum, hope its better soon.
ButterflyBrain - I'm in agreement with you on the specs,I've just ordered new ones, meant to be bogof, but with the lens I need for one eye they still cost £300 .Good thing I got a voucher for a £5 eye test or it would have been even more :(I've been putting it off because of the cost, not had any new for 3 years, but mine are so scratched now that I had to change them when we got some dosh in.
Molly- hope you enjoyed your visit with Mooloo.
Hugs to anyone who needs one.xx

  • Morning all.
I've read through but I'm dreadful at remembering what people have written, so get well soon to the ill people.
I've been to Mr T this monring, Got a 4 pack of wrap with bows & ribbon for 75p. Also a pack of crackers for 75p. They will go up in the loft later with the decs when DH puts them up there. My landing is very cluttered with all the decs. He was supposed to go in the loft last night but as soon as he got through the door he got a phone call. By the time he'd dealt with that the baby was in bed.

Have menu planned through till Sunday & on the w/e will sort out next week.

Food is so expensive now. DH doesn't earn a bad salary but we can't afford more than the basics. I'm not sure how people already on the breadline will cope.

There was a Tesco own slowcooker for £12. Does anyone know if it's any good. I make dh a lot of stews/chillis/curries ready for when he gets in from work so a slowcooker would save on some energy. But I want to get a decent one.

    breakfast today was cereal
Lunch for me will be SW egg & chips. Baby has a sarnie. Kids have pack up & work provides dh.
Dinner is found in the depths of the freezer pie with mash for dh, kids are having waffle, egg & beans & I'll have a veg stir fry & noodles.

Well I oight to crack on. Housework won't do itself. And baby is in a grumpy mood.

Love (((hugs))) & spoons all round

    Lisa x
