Even I wouldn't eat this and I'm very blase! about use by dates.
But if it smells and looks ok maybe try a mini bit and see what it tastes like ... if you do I think you would officially become the most hardcore OSer!! :money:

    Use them definitely.

and we will never, ever return.
  • I completely ignore use by dates on frozen food. How can something that is frozen, and stays frozen, possibly go bad? It might dry out a bit, or the flavour might "fade away" a little, but bacteria can't grow so the food can't go off. I would, however, make sure I cooked it as soon as possible after taking it out of the freezer, either immediately it thaws, or cook straight from frozen.

I'd use it as a topping for a pasta bake.. after tasting it.. at least anything that MIGHT be there would be obliterated by cooking..

If the lid is bloated.. bin it.. otherwise it has that much processing it is fine.. I hav been known to pick off the furry bits and use it on toast though, the cheese not the fur!.. and I have never (other than after eating 3 day old, stored in the microwave, rice from the takeaway) had any kind of bug from eating anything.
