I`ve eaten chicken which has been in the freezer for many months past its sell by date, its always tasted great and we have never had any problems.

In fact thinking about it there`s a whole chicken in there now thats from the end of last summer bought as a whoopsie and frozen when i got home and there`s also some diced chicken from just before christmas :D

  • As the title says how long will a cooked veg chilli keep in the fridge for? Only contains a homepride sauce, potatoes, veg, chickpeas, beans etc.

    Thanks in advance

  • i would normally go with 3 days from the day of cooking, not sure where i got this number from but im sure i remember it from some where that this is the longest you should keep cooked food for.

The homepride sauce will probably have a use within 3 days note on it? If you need to keep it longer, veg chilli freezes well.

Id it's just cheese and tomato, yes. If it had meat on it, I'd probably cook it now and reheat it tomorrow.
