    Hi all
Been a busy week and just found 2x700g mince at the back of the fridge that I bought last w/end to use for visitors that didn't happen!
The dates on it are 12th July (2 days ago!). Smells ok, lol!
Is it safe to cook and then freeze or will I poison everyone?
    Thanks

If it smells ok is should be fine.

There will be a kind of sweet smell to it if it's on the turn.

Even if it is starting to go dark it will be fine, providing it doesn't hum!

Yeah, it'll be fine as long as they smell ok. I tend to always ignore best before/use by dates on meat, never truly accurate :)
If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

Aldi brand, use by date 1.10.10.
Unopened and stored in a dark cupboard.

    Ok to use it?
