I wouldn't eat it. I've done food safety training and the bacteria multiplies in unrefrigerated meat rapidly. I think there's a limit to how long it can stop out. Is the price of a chicken worth the family getting food poisoning?Do what you love :happyhear0

I would eat it without hesitationEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

I think it will be fine...my parents used to do a roast chicken at midday on Sundays, and we would all just pick at th carcass left on the side until teatime and then eat the meat in sandwiches for tea...without it being refrigerated and it never hurt me so i guess 12-7pm is a similar time scale. Hope that helps."More people would learn from their mistakes if they weren't so busy denying them." - Harold J. Smith:cool:0

Where, I suspect, you are trained to leave a huge margin of safety so that the public haven't even the remotest chance of being poisoned:).
The reality is that the OPs chicken will be perfectly safe to eat.0 -
I'd eat it. I've often left food out overnight having forgotten to get it in the fridge before bedtime and I'm still here.I'm broke, not poor. Poor sounds permanent, broke can be fixed. (Thoroughly Modern Millie)

I've been doing this for years, if we have a roast on the sunday, the rest (if any remains) goes in the fridge for my sandwiches the next day.0

Well he ate it and it's been almost 9 hours and he's had no ill effects.
He said it tasted good too.
Thanks everyone for your advice, its difficult when you're not a meat/fish eater to know if things will be ok.
Obviously I know the basics, what things should smell like etc but I'm always over careful I suppose since I won't be the one eating it.
I'd never forgive myself if I made anyone ill :rotfl:.0
