I roasted a chicken last night to use today.
It was about 8 pm when it came out the oven and obviously too hot to put in the fridge.
I meant to put it in before I went to bed but forgot and did'nt remember till 6,30am this morning.
Will it be safe to eat,it was for a salad for lunch.
I realy don't want to kill my husband .
    Thanks.

I think it will be fine as long as it's kept refrigerated from now, I often do the same and as long as it wasn't sitting on a radiator or in direct sunlight I would be happy cos it was probably cooling down for hours anyway.

It should be fine - I have done this often, when something comes out of the oven later in the evening, just keep it refridgerated from now on. Would be different if central heating was on, or when temperatures are higher with sunshine during the day

I agree, should be fine. I have done it before. As long as it wasn't in direct sunlight then it shouldn't be a problem :)

Thanks everyone I'll use it then.
It was lying wrapped in foil on the marble counter top over night in the kitchen so I guess it should be fine then.
I don't eat meat myself, never have so I'm a bit careful when feeding it to others especially chicken which always seems to be associated with food poisoning.
It scares me in case I poison someone .

Yup,it'll be fine.I often take chicken breast out of the freezer & leave out to defrost overnight. The only food I'd be wary of in your situation would be prawns & shellfish.

I do this all the time. Cook something before bed and leave it cooling overnight.
I'm definitely not dead. If anything, I'm sure it definitely makes you stronger :)

Ive done this all the time too. We no longer have a fridge so tend to keep the LO roast in the oven for storage overnight. There is no way flies etc can gte to it there which is one of the main things that might make one ill.
