That would be a wonderful starter for yoghurt in the flask!
Let it get to room temperature.
Meanwhile, fill a thermos with boiling water to both warm up the flask and to sterilise it.
Next, warm a pot of milk up (ANY kind if milk works!) to blood temperature. Test it on the back of your hand. It should feel neither hot nor cold.
Pop it in your freshly warmed flask then add your yoghurt.
Leave overnight and get ready for lovely bio yoghurt for breakfast!
Sweeten with honey, fresh fruit etc. Or blend with a tin of fruit for a great smoothie!

I have just realised that ood means "out of date".

I watch too much Doctor Who. I had visions of yoghurt with horrid tentacle thingies growing out of it... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I cleared out a cupboard today and made an interesting find - an unopened box of 32 Ferrero Rocher, which expired at the end of May 2010.

I know what I would do, but Ambassador's feelings aside, would you be tempted to eat them?

  • id be tempted but wouldent, almost a year out of date is too much for me, maybe 2 or 3 months out of date then i might...........did you eat any of them?
  • I have 2 boxes both with a best before date of 25/07/09 one of which I have just opened (purely in the interests of research as I shouldn't really be eating chocolate) & they are absolutely fine. Therefore I would have no problem whatsoever opening a box which is only 1 year past the best before date. Best before dates have very little significance unlike use by dates which mean exactly what they say.

I have a similar view, they have been stored in a cool dark place and depending on the appearance when unwrapped would consider them to be quite edible.

Except I don't eat chocolate any more.....
