I opened a jar of asda barbecue sauce last Monday but only used half of it over some drumsticks, it has been in the fridge, would it be ok to use it now to marinate some chicken?
TIA0 -
I would think if it's been in the fridge and sealed it should be ok!

Basically as the title-I cooked a huge load of stew today, will be freezing most of it, but can I keep some in the fridge for monday's dinner? Or should I just freeze all of it?
Thanks0 -
Stew ALWAYS tastes nicer reheated, as the flavours have a chance to develop. However, you'll be worrying about it if it's in the fridge - it'll probably be ABSOLUTELY FINE, but I would be inclined to pop it in the freezer and get it out Sunday night to defrost slowly. It'll taste yummy then!
In the old days, people just added to stewpots and stockpots and they got reheated every day so nothing nasty ever had a chance to develop (much:rotfl:). But it's a waste of fuel if you're not going to eat it, whereas the freezer is presumably switched on anyway?0 -
Thanks, I will stick it all in the freezer. I agree that it tastes better once reheated (mmm slow cooked (in oven, not SC-yuck!) shin of beef in stout mmm) is all I can do to not eat some now!0
