    hello all , just cooked some frozen mini sausages rolls for dh but just realised they are say bb may 2010 . would they be ok to eat ? tia nev x

  • If your freezer is working properly and the pack wasn't defrosted when it went into it I'd say it will be fine.

    lol the cat that is bad, altho i bin nothing lol, i was considering trying to rescue a tin of hot dog sausages dated 8/2009 today then i relised i don't even like hotdog sausages and it wasn't worth the bother lol

    yes i'd eat them, things don't really go off in the freezer

    Sure, don't we do that with whoopsied stuff all the time. They reduce them cos they're about to go out of date, we buy them cheap and bung them in the freezer. So most of it would be well out of date.

    Planning for a long weekend with friends at ours, and prepping food in advance.

    If I assemble shepherd's pie on a Thursday (cook my mince mixture, put it in the bowl and top with mash but not oven-bake it), will it keep happily in the fridge until Sunday when I'll just bake it? I don't want to kill my guests. :o
