:mad: I am almost wishing I cooked it up for DH to eat now :mad:
He was in lateish last night and dished himself up some risotto that I had in the SC. Tried it and said he didn't like it, so I called to him to box up the rest and bung it in the freezer. Guess what I found in the SC this morning  3 to 4 portions of leek and mushroom risotto :mad:BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
Pefectly fine, things simply don't go off in the freezer.
They might change slightly in quality, get what they call freezer burn but with mince you shouldn't even notice , especially after only a handful of months.

if it was covered and left on it shud be fine to freeze now, but if it was turned off it's the slow cooling from your sc that would cause issuesDEC GC £463.67/£450

Yes it will be fine, as long it was fine before it went in there, which I'm sure it was, otherwise you wouldn't have kept it0

I brought some mince in Sept of last year as it was on offer and froze it the same day.
Its obviously well past its use by date but as i froze this straight away, will it be safe to use and eat?
It'll be finetigerfeet2006 wrote: »I put a pork joint in the slow cooker last Monday with some apple juice, tasted gorgeous. Put what was left in a tupperware box and put it in the fridge. It got shoved behind a few things and forgotten and I have just found it.
Can I turn it in to a meal (probably enough to eek out a meal for the 3 kids) or should I throw it away?
Hi tigerfeet :hello: I'd eat it, but I have the constitution of an ox

Going to do a chicken curry tonight. I opened the greek yoghurt last Saturday. It says to be consumed within 3 days of opening. Can I get away with using it in a curry recipe?0
