    Your sense of smell is usually the best judge of what's off & what's not (not for curry or spicy food though) :D. Then it's a case of making sure any previously cooked foods are fully cooked through.

    Unfortunatly I don't have a good sense of smell, it is a pain in the neck at times.

    I would ask DH to sniff it but he won't. His reaction would be " it's been there a week it has to be binned". He is not very money saving <rolls eyes>

    don't tell him it been there just say does this smell ok he prob can't remeber wat he had for dinner yesterday never mind last monday lol, i always make my oh smell things first cause i have an awful gag reflex and smells make me sick

    I wouldn't risk it with any meat after a week, especially pork.

    I only ever keep cooked meat 3 days and that includes the day I cooked it

    Agreed - 4 days is my absolute limit IF it has been cooled quickly and at the back of the fridge (where its coldest).

    Buy vest tops to go under clothes and PJs
    Buy nets for bathroom and kitchen
    Buy or make blind for kitchen

    NO - dont do it! not with any meat after a week in the fridge! and especially pork! ask yourself - if you found out a restaurant had served you week old leftovers...........would you be happy about it?

    No way would I feed something I was so unsure of to my kids. And more so if I wasn't even planning on taking the risk myself. Sorry, but I'd bin it without even sniffing it.
  • I wouldn't eat it either. I have had food poisoning and it is not something I would want to repeat or chance giving to my kids.
