Several weeks later, Longhurst & Havelok have got back to me about our 360p. They are sending round a defects inspector after half term. They have honestly said they've had a lot of problems with these boilers, they wanted to hear our experience, and they sound like they're going to help anyway they can. We'll see. I will keep you posted, as always...0

This in from the BPHA(housing associations ) facebook page
"If residents with NIBE systems who are on meters are having problems we are helping by providing cards loaded with credit - if you would like this help please ring on 0330 100 0272."
Such is the high price of keeping the NIBE 360 and 200 models going as stand alone heating and hotwater that the Housing association has started to support the most vulnerable people.
I'm sure they didn't think that this is what the NIBE sales person meant by fuel economy savings... this is being given to those on key meters and they are the HA are charging peoples cards with £50 per week so they can keep the homes in heat and hotwater...0 -
hi, i wondered how much a week everyone has been spending on electricity , n this recent spate of cold weather.i am in a 2 bed , new build, ha, and have been using 46 units a day,i know i use roughly 10 a day over the rest of the year when weather is nice, so that leaves about 36 a day just to heat my small home. And considering its not very warm in my house,i feel thats far too high .I realise that my system is different to everyone elses on here, as i have a nibe 2005 fighter airsource, and there dosnt seem to be anyone else complaing about these particular systems so perhaps my expectations are just too high, and i shouldnt expect to have a warm house, and pay less then £35 quid in the cold weather.0

You wouldn't get sky TV for that!
If you have a well insulated house & mains gas - your made.
If not, dig deep & deepening as we all have to pay for smart meters to come, wind turbines etc. as well as warm ourselves.
I live on the South coast, typically we get two to four cold weeks a year & for 7+ months, need very little heating.0 -
sorry beg to differ on that one ,my sky is under 40 quid a month, that includes television, telephone, and internet, my electric is £140 a month in this cold weather, and the difference is, i can choose whether to have sky, i cant choose whether to have electric.0

We've had no luck.
Apparently, our contact at Longhurst & Havelok had a meeting with their Defects Coordinator. All the Coordinator said was to have the boiler set to how the property manual recommends. They say they've tested a boiler, and the boiler's performance was blamed on the tenant turning it on/off. But, what about testing it with no one turning it off? Excuses!
And, if we have any problems, we should talk to our Defects Inspector.
So, after two months of waiting for L&H, with no outcome, we've started the complaints process and sent a letter.
If anyone wants a copy of the letter, so they can do the same with their HA, your welcome to have it.
I will let you know where our complaint gets us...0 -
