@MV - ((Hugs)) Is today your first day without OH? I hope it goes well for you. Personally I'm a little worried at the thought of having OH home for 5 weeks
@SusanC - thanks for your response. I checked with work and I was indeed underpaid by 1 day (for the new year bank holiday). So that's that sorted. Thanks.Baby Giz born 6/2/110 -
I'm just playing the points anyway Jillie, I won 400 just now so am still at 9000 and it'll only take another couple of wins to pop me over the top for the Amazon voucher.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Morning all xtinkerbelluk wrote: »Hi all,
Sorry to just jump in but I have a question I was wondering if any of you could help me with. I've got an 18mth old and another due in 7 weeks! I'm still undecided about getting a double buggy or just a hook on seat for the back of a normal buggy as at the moment my 18mth old refuses point blank to get in her buggy as she wants to walk everywhere, so I'm worried I'm going to end up with a double that's never used. Or is it going to be a case of when she see's the new baby in the buggy she's going to want to go in?
We're looking at the Obaby zoom as ideally I wasn't keen on the stack them high ones, but would this be a better option if my eldest isn't going to use it?
Any help would be great
A double buggy was the biggest waste of money for me with the older two. There was a 15 month age gap and I used it probably for 3 months if that and once DD could walk well she refused to get in. Personally I'd just get a buggy board type thing. I'd have been better of keeping DD in the buggy and carrying DS in a sling the first few months till she walked better.0 -
MV I'm glad you're feeling more positive
SS I'm really jealous. I want to go somewhere. Anywhere but here. Somewhere where the housework is someone else's job
Re Double buggies, I had one for my twins, if I found out I was having another one now, (after I'd finished bashing my head into a rock in protest at my contraceptive stupidity) I'd be buying a phil & ted. But there would only be a 14mth gap and I also have an 8 year old and twin 6 year olds, contending with a massive double buggy as well would kill me. lol.
I had my meeting with the local school todayThe new acting head is brilliant. With her the school are now clamping down on discipline, which was highlighted in the ofsted report last summer (when they got an overall grade of 4 ) but that was before they had the new head.
They've also rearranged their classes into a much more sensible system and will seperate the twins if I want to which the old haid had said no. It used to be mixed years based on ability now they still have mixed year classes but based on age. Which I like, especially in the lower school as poor squeak will only just be 4 when she starts school.
I asked if the girls could come and have a look around because DD1 mentioned it, and she said that's fine just call the office to arrange whenMum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Just had to share this one! Josh having a right old grizzle!Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0

Aww bless him.
I was looking at your thumb compared with his head in the picture, and it seems like such a long time ago since mine were that tiny
I'm off to work this afternoon in the Durham area, then going straight to Josh's school for parents night. He's picking his options so it's important we make the right choices based on guidance from his teachers. I've already been warned not to embarrass him. What a cheekHere I go again on my own....0
