I love my kindle too, almost looking forward to work to have a good read on the train haha.

Make-it-3 - my LO's the same . You never know the nursery might help her get in a routine.

Poppys second tooth has just cut the tip through today. We were at my mums and she kept waking between 4 and 8 am so knackered now. Off to bed in a min.

    hello x

Has anyone seen about the changes to tax credits in april about lowering the limits you earn before you dont receive them. I think I had an idea this was happening but hadnt really taken it in. I looked and the limits really very low if you are both working, one child £26000 and you'll get nothing, two children £32200 or more and you get nothing. We are so close to that limit, not this year because of OH changing jobs but I think we might be £30000 normally depending on overtime etc. At the moment we get quite a bit of tax credits, I'd love to be able to work out what we will get next year just so I can budget. I assume its gonna drop a fair bit.

No I didn't know. I've just been playing around with the tax credits calculator. I don't know if I've been making up the values wrong but I've been having a nose to see what those families with 15 kids might be getting! It only goes up to 10 kids on the calculator though. Based on 1 person earning £26k with 10 kids, one would receive about £2k a month in benefits! Not bad. I never knew people got so much money.

How is it that it is so easy to forget how horrible teething/illness is?!

I've had a few weeks of bliss and now the last few nights have been hell. Thought she was ill Monday night, but pretty sure it's teething again now...teething as in tooth is about to cut. Sure it's only been 2 weeks since the previous 2 cut. Actually reflecting on it, it's definitely teething - dribble galore (spotty chin too), nappy rash (she never gets nappy rash). And even mummy cuddles aren't settling her :(

Bumped into one of my midwives yesterday and was reminded of the fact that it was exactly a year ago that she gave me my third sweep that finally got me into labour. Then tonight the national TV awards are on and I remember being on all fours watching it between contractions this time last year.

Now watching 'One Born' - very nostalgic week.

We don't qualify unfortunately but must be a nightmare for those that do.

Giz- hope the teeth come soon and she settles down a bit.

Make-it-3 - must be strange thinking about what was happening a year ago! Are you having a party or anything for LO?

Iam going back to work mid March and Poppy will be almost 11 months. Those of you who bf and babies wouldn't take a bottle how did they get on in childcare? Poppy only has one or two breastfeeds during the hours i will be at work so not too worried. She drinks water out a cup well now though but will not drink formula. Also i am struggling to get her to take a nap without being fed to sleep or pushed in pushchair etc. I am a bit worried about her napping at nursery but not sure what to do.
  • Morning all.

Haven't had a chance to read back yet, but will do so when DS stops trying to crawl all over my laptop!.

Just wondered if I should worry at all about DS only really taking 1 bottle of milk a day now?

We were giving him 150ml of Aptamil 1+ milk in the morning and one at night before bed, but he doesn't seem interested in the night bottle anymore.

He eats 3 good meals a day + snacks, and has cows milk in his porridge in the morning, so at 12 months is it ok for him to only be taking 150ml of formula?

I only got him the 1+ milk as he wouldn't drink cows milk from a bottle or sippy cup, but after this tub has gone I think I am going to try and get him onto cows milk instead as the formula is just so expensive.

You don't even take him seriously,
How am I going to get to heaven?,
When I'm just balanced so precariously..
