Any idea how much milk a 3 week old drinks in a feed? I am leaving Ellie for the morning tomorrow and she will be having a bottle. (I am breastfeeding) I have expressed milk but only got about 2oz off. Is that what she is having in one feed?
I would say you want to aim for 4 or 5 oz. What you can express isn't really and indication of what a baby can eat as babies are far more efficient at breastfeeding than a pump. Also could depend on the time of day you expressed. Could you try pumping some early in the morning? You may get some more. In fact I was in hospital at 3 weeks and expressed 4oz and she drank the whole lot and was still hungry.
Also anyone got a decent pushchair that lies flat suitable from birth? When Ellie can sit i want a simple lighweight pushchair. I have a lovely pram but I have a bad back and it is so heavy!
I just bought a Britax B-Lite. But not had it long enough to recommend. It lies flat, but doesn't look comfy for a new born.

    :jcongrats again BP :)

WOW - congratulations BP. You'll do fine. I've heard before of people who took ages to get pregnant first time round and then been super fertile next time round. And you've already ridden the biggest learning curve with the first one and its all so fresh in your mind!!

Jenjade, I wouldn't put a young one in a lightweight pushchair even one of the reclining ones. I think most are designed from six months plus anyway, ideally a baby should be lying flat in a pram until they can sit unaided.

Congrats BP - I'm really pleased for you :j

Charlotte had this pushchair from birth and it was fine:

I kept it in the car and used it when I went into town and stuff, but she had the proper pram for when I took the dogs out and going along to the school and other local stuff.
Here I go again on my own....

That is £55 at Asda at the moment, if anyone is thinking of buying it :)
