I've not heard anything, think I probably put them off by not appearing committed enough to returning to work.
Giz, forgive me if you've already said, but what are your plans re returning to work?We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0 -
I'm going back after new yearI've not heard anything, think I probably put them off by not appearing committed enough to returning to work.
Giz, forgive me if you've already said, but what are your plans re returning to work?
:(:(:(:(:(:(
But I'm using holiday so I go back 3 days a week till nearly the end of March.
We're TTC, I was hoping I might be PG before returning, but it's not looking good.
I've managed not to spend any of my £5k I saved to go on Mat Leave
So that is going straight into baby no 2 fund. And the plan is I won't go back to work and will probably have the 12 months mat leave and then 2 years unpaid and then I guess get a part time job that fits around school time.
So what's happening with you?Baby Giz born 6/2/110 -
Ooh where abouts? I'm in Surrey, although it's a big place so I probably won't be able to help you with shortcuts.
Chertsey, Giz.
I went for an interview a couple of weeks back and it was a 3 train job..nightmare.
So I'm giving driving a go. I've been told it's pretty much down the A3 and then one junction on the M25, so we are going to try it on Sunday. I am planning on leaving early in the mornings anyway to get there for 8, so I can leave at 4.
We'll see how it pans out anyway. It seems like a nice company to work for anyway, and I know a few people there already which helps!
How is the TTC going? (if you don't mind me asking!)
We're planning to try again in the NY.Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
You sound very organised Giz, hope it all works out how you want.We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0

Ah, not an area I know. My OH travels on the A3 every day, passes the M25 and all the way to Sutton. I think the worst part of the A3 is actually when you get to the Guildford exit so I think you'll be OK. Just be careful of the 50mph bit as there are speed cameras there.Metranil_Vavin wrote: »Chertsey, Giz.

We've only been trying one cycle. I only got my period back last month, I'm meant to be CD29 or so and no sign of AF yet but not PG either
So maybe it's going to take a few cycles to get back to normal? Or maybe I won't have 28/29 day cycles like I used to? I didn't want to temp, but I think I might because it is frustrating to think I could have missed ov altogether.
Oh I know MI3, perhaps too planned? I won't get pregnant for 3 years now and I'll be miserable in my job for that time
at least I'll have svaed more money up which means I could take 4 years off unpaid instead! Baby Giz born 6/2/110 -

Can anyone help? DD (10 months) has been waking up again around 10/11pm for the last week and last night it was 2am and tonight it has been 8am.
I don't think she's teething as we've got 4 teeth and I feel I know when it's teething now.
Tonight I haven't been able to BF her for the first time. She just doesn't seem to be able to get the flow going (not sure if it's because she had a big feed at about 5pm which she normally has at 3ish). In desperation I've given her some calpol and put some karvol on her chest (I've got a horrible cold with blocked up nose, so thought maybe she's suffering?) But she's just not going to sleep.
Previous nights I have caved and BF her and that's the only thing that has got her to sleep in the end so I was thinking a growth spurt and she's hungry maybe?
Up until now she's been an angel regarding sleep and for the past month, probably longer she's been sleeping 13/14 hours straight. Prior to that she'd been waking once in that time for a BF around 10pm.
I forgot how stressful and tiring it is!!Baby Giz born 6/2/110 -
who uses the surestart centres? Do you leave your buggys in the buggy park outside? Do you ever lock your buggy?
I have never locked our buggys and have left it there for years, I used to leave it there when DS went to preschool there when I dropped him off because I felt silly pushing an empty pushchair to and from home. Anyway on Thursday when I took Bob to a little and loud session the pushchair was nicked - it was a £30 stroller from Boots so nothing fancy but left me with the problem of getting Bob home considering he is a great big lump and doesnt walk yet. The centre lent me a pushchair they have for outings, thankfully and we have another at home. I'm just shocked - they say its never happened before but I'll be locking my pushchair up in future and just wanted to warn you guys too.
MV I might be joining you with the TTC in the new year, fingers crossed.0 -
Hey Debs..I will be coming in from SE London. I have a route planned on my tomtom. According to that it's 27 miles and should take just under an hour. It takes me onto the M25 from the A3.
I guess I just need to see how horrible and busy the A3 is on a weekday morning/afternoon.
I'm planning on trying to get in to work for 8am so I can leave at 4, so will probably have to be leaving about 6.45ish. Do you know what the traffic might be like round that way in the morning Debs?
Giz - DS is 11 months now, and for the last few months has been going through all sorts of weird sleep patterns/waking up randomly in the middle of the night. I think it must be to do with growth spurts as my DS was a brilliant sleeper up until he got to about 9 months.
It seems to be settling down a bit again now, although he seems to be catching one cold after another at the moment so is often waking himself up coughing
Sadly I think you just have to ride it out.Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
Giz - hope you manage to work out what it is. No advise as I am having an awful time with Poppy at the moment, don't get more than about 2/3hours sleep at a time from her.
I am wondering whether she is teething but feel i always blame things on that and she still has no teeth... She is drooling quite a lot more than normal today though and has had rosy cheeks.
MERFE - that is awful about the buggy. How someone can steal a childs buggy is beyond me.0
