I've always really felt the cold. Can remember feeling ill with the cold in outdoor PE lessons and on camping holidays as a child, and always went to winter football matches in layers of clothing
Just thought it was one of those things and didn't realise it was a medical condition. Then at an anti-natal appointment in bad winter weather when I'd forgotten my gloves, the midwife noticed the colour of my hands and sent me into see the GP who said it was Raynauds.
After the pregnancy I did try a couple of different tablets that open the veins up more so the blood can circulate better. However it also opens the veins in your head too and I was ending up with warm hands and feet but an absolutely banging headacheDecided not to bother with medication and just do the stuff I mentioned above now.
Here I go again on my own....0 -

Very bad night
Up at 3am wide awake. Feed took over half an hour. Went back to bed but L very unsettled at 4 am was very very sick all over me and himself. Got cleaned up, went back to bed at 5am decided he was now hungry again so ate but again wide awake. Finally went back to bed and got up at 8am. Soooooo tired now and hubby has a cold so didn't get up to help at all  On my own tonight too as he's away (not that it will make much difference!!)
Leo James arrived 7 days late on 26th August 2011 by emergency CS :j Such a cheeky chappy now :T0 -
Good to hear Bob's review went well MERFE. Out boys are about the same size - Joe is 77cm and just below 91st centile
Joe has quite a nasty dry cough at the moment. Is it worth getting him some sort of cough syrup? (can you even get cough syrup for babies?)
I'm quite excited today as my best friend is coming down later for the weekendI have to sneak out of work early to fetch her from the station and doubt I'll get any more work done later, so I need to be super-productive this morning!

Hope you have fun today BigBird.
Claireloo, gutted. We had a few worse than normal nights about 4 days ago. DH thought it might be because of a full moon?! My DH's work is such that he doesn't help at all when he's working. He works shifts so I'm totally on my own for the next 6 days and nights. I find I tend to get A into a better sleep/eat pattern when it's just me but like the help when DH is around.0 -

Afternoon to all
Just after some advice please if anyone has been through the same situation.
I have a 21 month old daughter who goes to bed around 8pm every night after her warm milk (still from a bottle but looking to break this soon and go for a cup instead) and a 16 week old son who is proving to be the total opposite to his sister.
He has his supper about 8pm then will sometimes snooze on his mat or just play then gets over tired until I give him a 'top-up' around 9.45. This can range from 2oz to another full 7oz bottle then he will usually go to sleep and I take him up to his cot except last night when it was 10.30 and he was still not asleep!!!!
My husband and I feel that we are having no time together because once my son is in bed, all I want to do is go to bed too so I can be up before my daughter the next day to eat my breakfast in peace (it's usually the only meal I get to eat alone!!)
Can anyone advise how we can change this routine or make it work better for us please?

Sorry nobody has been able to help brednall.
I can't remember exactly but I think Charlotte was going to bed around 10pm-ish when she was 16 weeks, and I just accepted I wasn't going to get any couple time until she was a bit older.
Off to work this morning and need to take some photo's of my high street while I'm out for a uni essay.
Have a good day all xxHere I go again on my own....0 -
brednall I think when Bob got to around that age I started doing a bath everynight and putting him to bed upstairs around 7pm. If you think your DS needs it later you could try doing the bath/massage routine just after putting your DD to bed. I was then getting Bob up around 10/11pm for a last bottle but in the end realised he didnt want this. It should improve as he gets older and can go longer between feeds. I remember what it was like when Bob was down inthe lounge in the evenings after the other 2 had gone to bed but it was such a short time it lasted for, you will get your evenings back x0

Poppy was still going to bed about 10 shw ehn she was 16 weeks, only the last month or so she has been put in her cot between 7 and 8. Sometimes she falls asleep feeding and if not i put her in her cot , sometimes she self settles and sometimes i have to go in a few times to give her a cuddle. Is nice to have my evenings back though!0
