There's a CM here, her only child is at school already, and I have to say she's fantastic from what I've seen. She takes them to Rhyme time at the library, after the school run she takes them to the train station to see the 9.05 train (one of her mindees loves trains) and is always on the go taking them places, so they aren't all bad. Just talking to her makes me tired, she's like Pigpen, can't sit around! She usually has 4 pre school age so they do learn social skills with each other.
I wouldn't mind my LO going shopping with a CM, as I think shopping is something children do need to learn how to handle, but I wouldn't be happy with them being plonked in front of a TV all day, you could pay a teenager £10 a day to do that.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Gaaaaah I am cross.
OH has gone to London (!!) to pick up some bunk beds from ebay, agreed 10-12 today with them and they've sent him messages on ebay at 9.40(!!) making excuses and asking him to come tomorrow and they aren't answering the mobile number they gave either. It's only taken him all morning and the best part of £50 in fuel for this complete waste of time and effort :mad::mad:Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Oh.. Delain..Id be leaving neg for that one.. unless they have had some kind of emergency of course.. TOTALLY out of order!!!
I am reshuffling the boys room furniture today.. OH can build the bookcase and lug the books through and Ill fill the shelves.. their guff strewn about can then go in the emptied crates and be stuffed back under their beds! I have some more to go in the girls room and some stuff to rejig on our room.. mainly OHs.. it is under the cot and we need to lower the base before naughtiness falls out and we cant until the stuff underneath is shifted.
Oh.. I need to check on cot availablility for the baby as well.. I know exactly which one I want and nowhere has it!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Hello Ladies,
Dont get much chance to post on here now days
Well beginning to wonder if i will ever feel normal again. Olivia is now 3 months old and i still ache "down there". Was told at 9 weeks PP that i have a mild cystocele (bladder prolapse) but surely i should feel right now. Sometimes the ache is at the top and other times inside like when im on my period. Now dont get me wrong its not painful or anything but just aches.
Sigh. Never going to get pregnant again naturally if this never goes so nervous about it aching i dont have sex however never had pain when we have done it so dont know where thats from. (Before you ask not trying now but will be soon as this last one was an IVF baby following 8 years ttc.
Thanks for listening.
Guess i just need to relax and stop worrying.Baby Girl Born May 2011Baby Boy Born Nov 2012

Eep, meant to post again days ago, but been a bit hectic here.
Thanks for the thoughts about Amy. We've decided to take her off the preventative antibiotic and refuse testing. I've done a lot fo reading and research and there's too much debate as to whether either are necessary or helpful. She had her last dose about 10 days ago and her tummy is slowly getting better.
She also had her first set of jabs on Thursday (they were delayed due to her being in hospital) and she was a little star. I couldn't stay for the jabs (my mum was with her) but she did really well and was smiling less than a minute later. She's been a bit out of sorts since, but not too bad.
We went to a weaning talk/review thing on Tuesday, it was okay, but aimed more at those who have no common sense or clue. Amy was weighed and measured though and is now 13lbs 14ozs and 62 cms long, that puts her on the 75th centile for weight and 91st for length apparently. And she's 12 weeks old today, can't believe it!
Congrats on team pink delain! And grr to the ebay seller.
I'm a SAHM, I wasn't working before I got pregnant, but was considering looking for a part time job, but even if I had been working I still would be a SAHM. I'd probably go with a CM if I had too, but there are pros and cons to both. I wouldn't have a child in a huge nursery (although I'm really talking older child), I had a placement in a 80/80 nursery and didn't like it.
madbird, I can't believe Dylan is 7 weeks, and he's gorgeous!
alamaya, I'd go back and have a chat with your GP, to put your mind at rest if nothing else.
I did read back, but can't remember anything else! Mummy to an amazing little girl0 -
It's been a hectic couple of days here with DD's 4th birthday yesterday, can't believe she will be going to school this time next year!!
Alamaya I agree with Garnet and get it checked out, even if it isn't anything it might ease your mind! I too have a slight prolapse, i was absolutely devastated when i realised it and was in tears for days (not helped by my stupid b1tch of a HV who scared the !!!! out of me), it seems to be ok but I do pelvic floor exercises regularly not often enough though! I too am wary about dtd in case DH can 'feel' anything that's not normal it's a bit embarrasing really
I am very lucky regarding work, I went to back 3 days with DD and put her in nursery for those days. I wasn't sure if I would afford it with both of them but luckily my MIL and mum have stepped in and going to take them one day each and it'll just mean putting them into nursery for half a day (as hubby works half day Friday) so i will be returning 3 days again. If I'm honest being a SAHM full time doesn't really appeal to me, I feel I get the best of both worlds but some people clearly don't have a choice which is a shame.
Garnet glad Amy is getting better and good on you for researching and making a decision yourself, I probably wouldn't have thought about it and just gone with what the docs said
We got good news the other day, my DD had DDH (dislocated hip) when she was a baby and long story short it wasn't picked up until she was nearly a year. She was in waist to ankle plaster for 3 months then a splint for 3 months then the same splint at just nights for another 3 months, it was a pretty awful time especially since she was pretty old for it to be picked up, anyway she is absolutely fine now but when I had J they automatically done an ultras sound on his hip at 6 weeks and they found one hip to be out of the normal range. We went back on Thursday for the second scan and I was convinced he would be the same but they found there is no problem and the hip is now in with normal range :j they said they are happy that there will be no problem (but obviously to go back if i'm worried:)) We were so relieved!"That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."0 -

Is that after tax or before?
Hi,
I don't earn enough to pay tax-occasionally if i've done overtime I will pay a very small amount for that month. What i take home depends on how many hours i've worked in the month-how many weeks there are etc, but it averages around £450.
For us it is perfect-not my 'ideal' job but it is enough that it really helps with the bills etc and I get to be at home and take the kids to school, pick them up, go to assemblies. Theres no hassle if any of them are ill, and they get to be in their own home-alo I don't have to worry about the school holidays etc throwing a spanner in the work. Ideally I would prefer to work 2 whole days as I do my hours over 5 days (3 evenings and sat and sun morn) but i dont have any family to help out in the holidays, so for now this will do!0 -
Teenie.. my daughters dysplasia was picked up when she was 2.5.. despite me taking her back and forth to the drs since she was just a few weeks old.. I was livid! It was too late for them to do anything with her and she still at 17 has pain in it.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

Hello, delain, did you get the beds in the end?
Alamaya, my buggy fit instructor had a prolapse, initially she was told they wouldn't do anything about it but she went private. The private doc had her doing pelvic floor exercises and they monitored how her muscles were strengthening over 6 months but even after that they decided the improvement wasn't enough so she decided to have an operation. Unfortunately I can't tell you how the operation went because after her op she couldn't take the class anymore and I haven't seen her sinceHopefully it was all ok. I would go back to the doc and get them to look again. HTH
OH unexpectedly had the day off today, I know i moaned about him having to work late all week but i think I would have had a much less stressful day and got more done if he'd gone to work!Mum to DD born Oct 2009
