It's very quiet on here today.0 -
Welcome Bufger and Tinks! Remember you both from prego thread
Just been talking to OHs relation about Theo not sleeping through recently... Apparently her little boy woke upto 6 weeks old and has slept from 7pm until 7am upto now, he's 9 months! Wow! Theo did until recently but I fear he's too out of the habit to go back to sleeping thru
OHs being a total noob0 -
Nice to meet you
Have you got a Sure Start centre nearby? Ours does stuff for Dad's on Saturday mornings. Dad gets a cuppa and a bacon butty and there's an activity for the children.
they do have a sure start near, thats where my partner has been going for her play sessions with Ethan - she forgot to mention that they have a dads thing on a saturday! I think i'll be going along to that as it'll give mum a bit of time off too. Wont be having the bacon butty though, not very good for the diet! (my treat for the week is a beer and a bacon butty wont take that away from me!)
Thanks everyone for your welcomes. Its good to see some people i recognise too :TMFW - <£90kAll other debts cleared thanks to the knowledge gained from this wonderful website and its users!0 -
Morning
Hope you enjoy the session Bufger. I bet your missus appreciates a little break too.
Off to work this morning to finish those audits off.
Have a good day everyone xxHere I go again on my own....0 -
Hello tinkwings and Bufger.
Bufger - how lovely of you to get involved, I hope your surestart have something for the Daddies. I think mine only offered something once a month and IIRC it was football and walks. No mention of bacon butties which is maybe why OH didn't go.
KitKat - Theo will get the hang of sleepy through. Liam slept through from 8 weeks to just over 4months, then we had about 6-8 weeks of waking in the night and then back to sleeping 7pm-7/8am. That is until Nov when we've had waking in the night due to cold, teeth, cold, cough and I think we're on teeth again. It's only a phase...
Becles - forgot to say - fingers crossed for a successful appeal!0 -
no bacon buttys for the dads here either, also just once a month but a normal toddler group session.
ah kitkat he will do it, if he has done it before he is capable. My DS used to sleep through for 2 nights then wake at 2am and think that pattern went on till he weaned, they are all different. DD slept through 7-7 from about 10 weeks, bobby is 9 weeks today and he is still waking every 3 bleeding hours, he went through a small patch of sleeping for between 4-6 hours at night but has given that up it seems.0 -

I have an Ethan too - lovely name. Our sure start centre do quite a few things for Dads but my other half refuses to go .
Kitkat - I'm sure he'll start sleeping through again soon. We have been very lucky with dd1 and dd2 - both have slept through from around 7 weeks but ds was nearer 4-5months old before he did. We did have a week or so recently where dd2 was waking every hour or so and it was exhausting but she did have a cold so I'll let her off.
I have lots of outgrown kids clothes - newborn up to ds's clothes at 7yrs. Do I ebay them or nearly new sale? The last Nearly new sale I went to had loads of clothes so I'm wondering if they will sell but then again ebay doesn't always sell well???0 -
Morning!
Ethel: have to admit I hate selling on eBay, had timewasters in the past and the postage for clothes mounts up, could you try nearly new or hang on until car boots? (altho I confess I CBA with car boots LOL!)
Thanks for advice about theos sleep, I think it's only really getting to me as OH has told me while he is working he wants me to do everything for theo: wash bottles, sterilise, make feeds, feed him, change him, do his washing, sort his clothes/ toys, get up with him in night all the time. He now refuses to do anything even if it's the weekend, all I ever asked of him was him to do one bottle per evening/ every other but apparently playing on his laptop is far more important. Fed up is an understatement!
Theo went to bed 10pm and slept until 6.30 then fed and slept until 10.30am. Hopefully tomorrow I will wake him 8am and try avoid the earlier get ups.0 -
Sleeping through - what's that! We co-sleep and Erin still wakes up a few times a night but I'm generally not that aware of it (just latch her on and go back to sleep) and I don't feel at all sleep deprived. I'm honestly not bothered about trying to get her to sleep through at this age and I'm not setting any dates either.
Ethelsmum - at least if you do nearly new or car boot anything you don't sell you can put on ebay? I remember a few people on here buying 'bundles' on ebay which might be a good way of getting rid of some of the less attractive bits.Mum to DD born Oct 2009
